My husband has just registered with the surgery a few weeks ago and all I can say is that it is excellent - the reception staff have been efficient friendly and informative. He needed an urgent appointment today and was seen within the hour - could not be better.- truly Impressive service particularly with regards to the pressure GP services are under !

I needed urgent assistance and called to see the Pharmacist at Boots next door to the surgery. I was told to see a doctor/nurse at the surgery as soon as I could. The doctor's receptionist couldn't have been more helpful and sorted me an appointment out. I only had to wait 3/4 hour to be seen by the very helpful Simon King. I felt well looked after and received excellent advice. Thank you everyone at Rawdon Surgery.

I used to think they were a good GPs but actually they randomly delete me off the system every other month… then after they do that I have to come in and resign 100s of forms so that I have a chance to get my prescription- something they put on an auto set up and then deleted that too. Once or twice being deleted would probably be okay but it’s every month now!
EDIT: I was told this morning to come into the practice to resign my forms. When I got there, the woman who does the forms wasn’t even in. Leanne from the front desk is the RUDEST person I have ever come across. She accused me of trying to take her pen! How she ever got a job at a desk is beyond me!

EDIT: this is now the 4th time being deleted from the system. Found out today that my little boy who shares an account with me has NO record on his account, despite being with the surgery for 4 years. Very scary stuff.

Extremely blunt and rude women answering the phone for appointments. I would avoid having to speak to reception wherever possible, and use the online service (if working for you) to bypass her.

How sad that what used to be an effective extremely good doctors surgery has diminished to such a low standard of care. If this was a business they would have gone into receivership.
Trying to get a prescription. Firstly they did not know what a very popular item was. Then having explained and showed pictures of the item needed
Nothingness. I make contact via the phone to be met with confusion and uncertainty. Then told oh yes it will be delivered today for you.
I wait in feeling confident she knew what she was saying. No medication, no explanation nothing.
Saturday no helpline that can sort the problem.
I know that unless I make contact again on Monday I will just hear nothing more. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
They like to keep you at arms length like you’re an irritant to them.
Sadly I am looking at going to another surgery.
Of cause that’s great news to them as this is probs what their goal is.
They make it so dammed obvious they simply do not want to engage in any form of conversation with you. Thats either verbally or electronically. What a sad decline of a once effective system.
On their response listen to how hollow and robotic about how sorry they are that I have experienced so a poor experience 🤕
Please don’t ask me to talk to the practice manager remember you don’t like to speak live lol

My daughter went to see the doctor as she was suffering from a blocked ear due getting water in her ear from swimming, she was told it was completely blocked and that the doctor couldn’t unblock it without even trying but would refer her, goodness knows how long that would take, or the doctor did say you could go to specsavers and pay £55.00 it would be quicker!!! Absolutely outrageous, my daughter is a single parent with 3 children!! And in a lot of pain! Absolutely disgraceful what sort of doctors are these. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡. No stars given as one is to many

Hats off to fabulous Nurse Practitioner Simon King - he saw my mum and daughter today. His manner is calm, helpful and respectful.
Getting an appointment was straight forward after waiting for triage. Very prompt indeed and receptionist was helpful in scheduling my daughter an asthma review for next month. Thank you!
