Visited Thurs 28 Feb 2025.
My wife had a foot injury and the staff here are excellent!
It was a busy time for them but we were still seen to in a timely fashion. They managed this very well. Excellent treatment by Richard - 100%
We also interacted with MIU receptionist, Radiology receptionist and 2 Radiologists.
All these people were fantastic at their jobs and we wish to thank them all individually and as a well coordinated team.
I hope that they get everything they need to continue this great service.
Many thanks.

Had 8 teeth removed under general anaesthetic and I was convinced I wouldn’t go through with the surgery due to extreme fear. The anaesthetic team made me feel calm and safe enough to have this surgery even though I was absolutely terrified, I never could’ve done it if it wasn’t at this hospital and it has completely cured my fear of surgery. Only downside was I felt like I left a bit too early and didn’t get a gauze for my mouth so my partner had to leave me and look for a nurse to help me with excessive bleeding, but once they realised they helped a lot!

The staff at OVH are very professional and extremely polite.it would be lovely if all our hospitals adopted the same attitude.
Even the Porters were very helpful in directions around the hospital.
This hospital shows how great our NHS can be.

I visited this hospital on 27th December with my wife who had suffered a traumatic hand injury a few days earlier. We both cannot praise all the staff here enough, for their kindness and care at all times throughout our stay. They are all simply the best and we are both very grateful. They made a somewhat unpleasant but necessary procedure feel so much better. My wife felt safe and cared for at all times. Thank you to all.

Had to have a general anesthesia because I got a tooth removed. The staff were very friendly trying to calm my nerves. The medicine did taste a bit peculiar when I had it, but overall a great hospital! ❤️

So I had a appointment at 9.30 this morning I was discharged from my local area hospital about 1 o in the morning the same day I had to stay up all day and when I got to this hospital they was so lovely and understanding and did whatever the could to make me feel better I went it to see and few lovely ladies I’m so scared of the dentist vibe I was freaking out but these amazing people helped me feel safe and hats of to my doctors for a clean extraction when I claimed it would be a disaster but that didn’t stop them they rose to the occasion I’m honestly still in shock on how good the members of staff are the outpatient building 3 thank you so much for your service

Visited today with an extremely painful and suspected broken foot. Such warm welcoming staff and super efficient. The receptionist was lovely and the nurse who looked after me was so warm and kind. The porter chatted to me as I was zipped between x-ray and cubicles. I can't speak highly enough of everyone. Turns out I have a break in four places with a bit of a road ahead... Thanks everyone for making a very painful situation much easier to deal with.

Really disappointed to have to write this review as in all honesty I have always found Queen Victoria hospital to be very efficient, helpful, no waiting around and better than most hospitals I’ve needed to visit to date. However, I went for a CT scan Thursday 12/09/24 at 3pm ( my appointment time ) and the nurse who inserted the cannula into my arm made a medical error by completely missing my vein and the needle then going under my skin rather than my vein. She was over talking and therefore clearly not concentrating on her job - I’m all for pleasentrys, but she wasn’t particularly doing that either really, again wasn’t concentrating on what she was doing. As soon as the cannula went into my arm I let her know it felt uncomfortable and didn’t seem totally right to me, I asked her specifically twice if that was fitted into my vein correctly and she stated with certainty yes it was. Once the dye fluid was injected into my arm, my arm blew up in size and was painful, by this time I was under the scanner. The most unfortunate thing about this is that the Nurse that did this medical error on me didn’t even apologies to me at all and therefore took zero accountability for the error she made, she nervously laughed it off a little and acting in a manner that she hadn’t really done much wrong. I was shocked at the genuine lack of responsibility over her job at that time. Another nurse took over and inserted the cannula correctly in my other arm. I went home with a swollen arm and later a headache due to the swelling and the next day my arm was still hurting, in fact today it’s still not totally healed yet. I wasn’t going to write this review due to my over all past good experience with the Queen Victoria hospital, but in order for something like this to not happen again, I felt it important do so.
