Absolutely fabulous service from Psicon from start to finish.
The receptionists have all been polite, calm, and have answered any questions I have had.
The ladies in the Basingstoke office were all wonderful in person, the building was lovely and clean, calm and homely. The assessors were all great in person and made my children feel at ease. The assessors via zoom were all patient, calm, funny and just wonderful with me and both of my children. Thank you to you all

Started off great. Had my sons assessment here. Then used their titration service. That's where it all went downhill. No follow up after initial medication review. My son is now without his medication and I'm being ignored. Ive put in a complaint. I'm waiting to see if I get a response very poor!

Had a swift response and apology to my complaint. Changed my review to reflect this as the lady i spoke to was very polite and resolved my issue very quickly

I recently completed an adult autism assessment through Psicon, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the care, professionalism, and sensitivity shown throughout the process.

From the moment I submitted my initial forms, I felt heard and supported. The process was clear, thorough, and conducted with compassion. My assessor took the time to listen without judgement, asked thoughtful questions, and made me feel at ease during what could have been an overwhelming experience.

To be diagnosed as autistic in adulthood is a huge moment, and I genuinely felt that I was in safe, understanding hands the whole way through. I left the appointment feeling not just seen, but validated, with a greater understanding of myself and a sense of clarity I’ve never had before.

Thank you sincerely for helping me make sense of my experiences and giving me a clearer path forward.

I had to fight hard with my gp to get a right to chose referral for my daughters suspected autism. After this we received some paper work to give in depth information of my daughter her needs etc. I was then contacted by psicon saying they can't do an assessment as I've said she may have a learning disability... prior to referral I had many phone calls with psicon and no one ever mentioned this. Complete waste of time. Also you do know that alot of children have a learning disability as well as autism?!!!

My kid conducted the ADHD assessment in Psicon privately. At that time, the doctor suggested us to go for medication. Surprisingly after we waited for a few weeks by sending a few email requests and phone calls on private medication plan, no one really followed up to give us a date for the initial medical consultation. I can understand there might be a waiting list but I don’t understand how difficult to arrange a meeting date for private patients even it might be a few months later!

Brilliant service. Waited 4 years for my son to be assessed with another service and would have still been waiting now. This service has giving my son the diagnosis that we’ve waited so long to get and will hopefully now help with moving forward with school can’t thank you enough. Quick easy and very reassuring nice staff who made my son feel at ease.

I would strongly advised against using this service. It has taken days to recover from what was for our family particularly our son a disturbing and extremely unpleasant experience at Canterbury Psicon. Following extensive waiting times on the NHS we decided as a family to go private and pay for our sons desperately needed ADHD assessment. We attended my sons ADHD assessment with so much hope and had worked extensively prior to the assessment to ensure all medical reports and evidence along with educational evidence and reports were in place to allow the adhd assessment to be conducted with full history to aid our sons adhd diagnosis.. My son also has some learning difficulties and as request by Psicon if this is the case then the relevant access arrangements which I carefully outlined do my son could readily access the assessment would be in place. Unfortunately it became very clear very quickly after being met by a stressed and unfriendly Paediatrician that none of this had been put in place. The start of the assessment began with her not being able to find any of our sons extensive medical and educational reports and letters and advising us that we will need to send these in ? I advised her that alll had been previously sent in weeks ago.. with this information she continued her search and managed to find some medical letters and advised she would need to speak to admin after the assessment..she also did not have our sons concentration test and assumed it had not been done, she eventually found this after being told it had been done. The assessment began without the Paediatrician having any background knowledge on our son but also the setting in which it began was awful. It was a very small room, extremely hot with no ventilation it made for an extremely uncomfortable environment to be sitting in for any length of time especially for a child taking an assessment- I asked if a window could be opened and she said sorry no I don’t no how to open the windows. On top of this because there had been no preparation she knew nothing about our son and it became clear again very quickly that she was directing questions at him as though he was a lot older not 14/15 but 17/18..maybe because of his height, as a mum I felt extremely uncomfortable the way she spoke to Harry and directed her questions it made it very difficult for Harry to engage and answer because he found it hard to manage and understand the questions.. this brings me to the realisation that actually because again no preparation to our sons assessment had been done that none off the access arrangements had been put in place for him either such as simpler questions, allowing more time to respond etc etc this is how the assessment started and unfortunately it did not get better.. we tried our best as a family to continue as there had been so much hope laying on this assessment and the support and treatment our son desperately needs for adhd but this meant we endured as a family an assessment that went from bad to worse an extremely gruelling experience, a totally dysfunctional assessment all of which is to lengthy to detail in a review and has left us now feeling very disturbed by the whole event and shocked to find that medical professional are conducting this way at Psicon and making ill informed untrue judgments based on wowfully inadequate preparation and extremely poor conduct during the assessment. We have now taken our experience to a complaint and following this procedure. A truly awful and disappointing experience.

I had a ADHD diagnosis through One Bright who passed me over to Psicon for medication review. I felt like I had to jump through hoops for this process, and each email asked for something extra. Psicon eventually stopped responding to me and I am in the process of a complaint with them. Dispite not actually providing any service, they are happy to continually send an invoice for £695.

I eventually contacted a different provider who accepted my ADHD diagnosis and within 2weeks provided me with a prescription for medication.
