We are extremely very lucky to have such an excellent doctor's surgery at Posterngate. It's a "can do" attitude all the way, with kind & attentive nurses & doctors.
This review highlights the unsung heroes, the receptionists who have been excellent in my last two dealings with them. Once on the phone a few weeks ago with Mary who was lovely & yesterday when a very kind lady helped my husband at reception.
My husband is high functioning dyslexic & I am proud of the way that he manages his repeat prescriptions, considering the drug names etc. However, yesterday unbeknownst to me, he was struggling to add an item which was not on automatic repeat. I walked in on his conversation with the receptionist, who was kind & considerate, not only adding the item for him herself, but then the team managed to arrange a same day dispensary. Now that is what you call "extra mile service", which has made me profoundly grateful for their support. We live in a village 4 miles away & Tony works away from home most of the time, so service like this makes a huge difference to us in our busy lives.

Well reading the comments it’s very clear that a good 99% of people share the same diabolical view of reception and admin team ! There are a small few good doctors but these get sunk by the rest of the dismal team !
Oh how I love the fact they treat patients and thick half lifers… oh I’m looking forward to trying to get through the 3million poor sods that are on the queue line this morning !

Got a parking fine for parking in the car park, even though i was actually attending the surgery caroline the manager was very rude and unhelpful.

Laura the receptionist is a really really nice person, she goes above and beyond amd is such a great receptionist.

Unfortunately the rest of the reception team are rude and unwelcoming.

I will be changing my surgery after been at this surgery for 15 years, unfortunately just not the same level of care given any more

Rude, surly & abrasive receptionists, £100 parking fine (dealt with in writing to avoid receptionists completely) for over-staying 30min allowance by 11 mins (as called in 30min late for appointment), 42 space car park with only 1 free space (which I used) and only 6 people in the waiting room... who is this policy prioritising, branch staff? Talk about preying on the weak and vulnerable. When appealed Surgery supported parking company not their patient, despite confirming I had an appointment and was called in late. Also, so busy you often have to wait outside in the rain to get into the building, can take over 25 minute queueing, have repeatedly witnessed receptionists be appalling to other patients and been greeted with just "Yes" myself, not welcoming at all. Lovely Doctors and Nurses though.

I went back to the doctors twice since I were yr 9 and yr 10 because I have got an chest infection I wait longer until my name on

Update: I’ve been told that they call me on phone but I got terrible signal and they said they’re call me on Monday morning. One of the staff being rude accusing me and my dad on 18/10/24 of not listening but me and my dad did listening they should book the appointment in person not on phone.

I have found the doctors and staff most helpful and friendly. I have had phone calls to m mobile to keep me updated on samples etc,I have read the reviews of the professional moaners and can’t find a single thing they have an issue with

My prescription was put in the letterbox on Saturday. Went to collect on Wednesday leaving 2 full working days plus extra. Not ready. Went back Thursday and to my amazement highlighted in green at the top of my prescription that 48 hours notice is needed. What is going on at this practice?
