Absolutely smashing place. Took my 3 month old Gsd for his 1st vaccination and all the staff where so lovely, and as a 1st time dog owner they helped me with my concerns and general questions. Can't recommend this place enough👍💪

Looking after our dog Henrik is our priority as dog owners and we always feel that he gets the best treatment when he visits Portland House Vets and they try to make him feel reassured which isn’t easy as he gets so anxious.

Our dog was due for his tablet to prevent ticks and fleas, however knowing that these tablets are expensive I looked online only to find out that I could purchase them for half price but that I needed a prescription from the vet. When I rang to enquire about I was informed that they would provide this but it would cost £27, I was totally shocked. Wanting to protect my dog I went ahead and ordered the tablet from the surgery only to find out that had gone up to £38 a considerable increase from my last purchase, and double what I could get online.
All I can say is that those of us who want to care for our animals are been totally ripped of and exploited and that there must be some very poorly pets out there for those people who can’t afford these exorbitant and inflated prices.
We have dealt with this practice for years and have spent hundreds of pounds to look after our dogs so I have say I feel very let down.
