Pocklington Group Practice

We are so lucky having this practice. Everyone is so friendly and caring. Using the new patient request form for a problem works very well. I have always had a quick response when using it and seen the same day by a doctor if needed. Tonight I got a call from Dr casey at 7.00 re chasing a hospital appointment. Unbelievable that he was working at that time. Thank you for being so dedicated.

Was lucky to be taken in for a last minute appointment this morning. Staff were very professional and friendly. Nurse Hilary Lagopoulos was exceptional and made me feel at ease. Thank you and keep up the great work ☘️

What a fantastic GP practice we have in pocklington, yesterday I filled in an online Gp request form at 8am to get some advice about a cough I had, by 9:30 I was in an appointment getting checked over by the Dr and by 9:45 I had antibiotics!!!! WithIn 2 hours I was sorted and on the road to recovery!!! Thank you for the fantastic service and care you give to us all !!

Went in to register and was given forms , also online tells you to print the same forms and bring them in . Reception told me they wouldn’t accept forms and to go away and do online , they asked me where I got the forms as “ not done this for ages “ yet reception gave me the forms 2 weeks before and online says fill in forms and bring in . Apparently the online is done has as more details yet exact same info is recorded .. staff and website needs updating if forms are no longer to be used and even are forms behind reception ready to be given out Luckily I’m Not elderly and able to do online

I am an occasional customer of the Group Practice and in the past I have always made contact by telephone and experienced all the inevitable built-in delays. I recently made an online consultation request however and I was called back by a doctor within minutes. Good, friendly advice was given and a prescription issued all within the time it would have taken to put my boots on. Previously, I have waited far longer to speak with a receptionist on the phone so this routine was amazingly speedy. I am very impressed with the excellent service I received on this occasion and the practice should be proud of the systems they have put in place that enable such efficient use of everyone's time. Thank you Pocklington Group Practice. 5 Stars all the way. PS. For general information, the surgery building itself is relatively new, large and well appointed. It's situated on the outskirts of town with plenty of parking and every member of staff that I have ever met has been friendly and professional. It's an excellent, well run practice in my humble opinion.

This practice is by far the best practice I have ever had. Every time I have needed advice or medication, it has always been so easy to receive in a short space of time. The exceptional service particularly stood out to me today as I experienced my first migraine with aura. I was in excruciating pain and were experiencing symptoms Ive never had before which were quite frightening. I used the NHS app to inform the practice of my symptoms and within 7 minutes, a practitioner was calling. The doctor I spoke to was incredibly understanding, empathetic and kind. He gave me useful advice on how to manage the symptoms and advised I had follow up appointments to investigate things further. After half an hour of me informing the doctor, the medication was prescribed and easily collected from Boots Pharmacy by my partner. With more sleep and rest, it eventually disappeared and I was finally pain free. Incredible and efficient service provided today which was very much appreciated. There’s not a lot of positivity towards healthcare now a days but Pocklington Group Practice always deserve the recognition for their excellent standards of care, provided by all, every time. Thank you.

I have found this practice to be efficient and caring. The front staff are welcoming and understanding, and reflect a very well organised surgery. The building itself is clean, light and airy. I have found the general practitioners to be excellent, always taking time to explain a certain plan of treatment and clarifying any followup. Special thanks to Dr Amy Bennett for her care.
