Administration is poorly handled making the patients do admin. Like the previous reviewer my thyroid tumours were also misdiagnosed for several years They make patients jump admin hoops, poor bedside manner with some not all doctors and I am loathed every time I have to deal with them but also have no choice. My children are here and we now use private medical services where possible. I was told to do more yoga at one point. I had a full thyroidectomy when finally one doctor realised a simple blood test had not been performed.

Phoenix family health practice have probably been the most unhelpful, incompetent set of people I have had the displeasure of being around. I had an infection and my GP gave me the WRONG PRESCRIPTION for it. The admin staff recorded my personal details wrong. The receptionist told me that a clerical error was MY FAULT instead of theirs (please tell me how I would get my birthday wrong). I had this infection (which could’ve been easily treated within a week) for a month and it kept getting worse and worse and eventually got unbearable. The skin on my face literally was falling off of me. I think these people are more worried about getting home on time instead of actually helping people with medical conditions (mine was easily treatable, imagine how much worse it would be for those with chronic conditions), this is so ridiculous it's actually a joke. Shame on you Phoenix Family Practice, do better.

Called at 9.40am , second in queue . Only had to wait a couple of minutes until a delightful receptionist , Karen (or maybe Kirstin ?) helped me with my prescription.
Hey ho , I picked it up from the Pharmacy a couple of hours later.
Brilliant service - thank you Karen ( or Kirstin ? ) !

I can’t thank the team at Phoenix Family Practice enough for the care and support they’ve given me. Every single person—from the reception staff to the doctors and nurses—has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. No matter how small or big my concerns have been, they’ve always taken the time to listen and help in any way they can.

It’s not just about medical care here—it’s about feeling supported, understood, and reassured, especially during tough times. Knowing I have such a compassionate team to turn to means the world to me.

Thank you for all that you do. Your kindness and dedication make such a difference, and it never goes unnoticed.

I have lived in Weybridge for over 40 years. I have always used Rowan Tree Practice
Recently church Street and rowan Tree Practice merged.
The result seems to be that the staff in particular the doctors with a few exceptions are offhand and don't seem to be at all caring.
I have had symptoms for over 6 months. I have seen a variety of GPs only one of whom showed any real interest in diagnosing. Recently I felt ill enough to phone 111 who called an ambulance.
Trouble is that A&E is for emergencies. The docs there were helpful and wrote to my GP asking for specific tests acknowledging that I was unwell but not A&E material.
I tried to get an appointment at my GP subsequently and was called back by a GP I have never met. He asked if A&E had done a ct scan (yes) and told me that I was clearly not an urgent case . I have now an appointment in 4 weeks time with yet another doctor I wrote a polite letter to the practice begging for a diagnosis or a referral
That was 2 weeks ago

I'm really at my wits end

Since they merged with the other practice service is terrible and is a waste of time. Doctors refused to give up my son antibiotics until he ended up in the hospital with the chest infection magnified. We have been in a few appts now and last one we were sent to a GP that was on that day in St Peters, which was even worse, di not even looked at my son's notes and barely checked him. Obviously left without any help given he just gave us a referral. I thinks I'll have to pay private or look into alternative medicine

These people operate under very difficult circumstances and I have always found everyone of them to be polite, sympathetic and very knowledgeable. The call back system for telephone calls is brilliant. I would certainly recommend this practice.

Really to sorry to write this but in general the service is sub-optimal.
In 2020 my swollen neck lymph nodes were dismissed several times as just a sore throat and had to go private to then find out I had metastatic thyroid cancer.
For convenience I stayed with the practice and while some of the staff and doctors and nurses are compassionate and thorough, some others are quite the opposite.
Last week I called about my son who had high temperature and ear infection. The receptionist was very kind and logged the case. Instead of a GP call or an appointment I then got a message saying antibiotics prescription had been sent to the pharmacy. No indications of how many days or any word from the GP.
Fast forward a week and my son still has the ear infection, I was 14 in the queue and eventually I managed to speak to a kind receptionist. I explained to her that my son needs to be seen (you know, old school style...) and she said someone would call me back. But instead I got a message saying that I have an appointment the following day. I appreciate that they gave me an appointment but it would have been good to have an option about timing as it is bang on during school pick up time. I queued another half hour on the phone just to see if I could get a slightly earlier or later appointment so that I can pick up my other kids and not only I was told that it s not possible but also this other receptionist (I won't name her ) was extremely rude and pretty much told me to stop talking when I was trying to once again explain the situation.
I have been in the same practice for 10 years now and things have got worse.
