Horrific service.
Complained directly to them to have a email return saying that my concerns have been passed to the manager and someone will contact me soon.... its been nearly a year - still no contact, with me still complaining.

Will hold back life saving medication (I requested some tablets and inhalers, they refused to repeat the prescription as I needed a blood test for the tablets... but still withheld my inhalers- Holding me at ransom, informing me that I will not get my life saving medication, my inhalers, without booking an appointment for the tablets)
Do not like giving out 'higher' medication and will happily fob you off to the hospital- then complain when you return back as the hospital don't have the time or space to deal with you.

The last 6 months, I have had the worst service.

As with any organisation, human frailty, inattention or carelessness can obviously taint any interaction with a service such as a medical practice. However, taking the long view of our experience of Peak and Dales Medical over many years, we would rate very highly the overall professionalism, care and follow-up afforded by the practice's staff at all levels.
Naturally there have been some 'difficult moments', but at no time have I sensed a lack of care or a lack of competence at the level referred to in earlier reviews.

I have never been anything but complimentary for the Bakewell practice and its staff.

The care and comittment shown to my late son George and to myself and our family in our grief has been outstanding .

Dr williams and Dr love and there team have offered kindness and dedication deserving the highest praise from the Turner Swift family .

The appalling level of customer service continues apace here. No problem with the GPs but the Admin / communications from the practice is woefully inept. Vague email correspondence or just being completely ignored, I don't think they could really care less. I've even had the phone put down on me one time mid sentence. I called back and asked for the Practice Manager to call me back but of course she didn't. One star because I had to.

Excellent surgery- GPs very thorough and supportive of all issues. I would be devastated to leave this practice, I trust the professionals here completely. I have been a patient at several surgeries in my life but this is by far the best.

When I put the one star on I was extremely angry and wiped off why I had given this score, since then we have travelled 148 miles and about 8 hours

Having called for advice on a gash on the leg, my husband was told by a the Doctor to take Piriton..
A month later I discover it is still weeping.
We phoned the District nurse, which I didn't realise you could do without a referral, she told us to go to Whitworth minor injuries unit.
We have been 4 times to Whitworth and once to Newholme in 14 days Plus 2 courses of antibiotics. He refused to go back but they have persuaded him to make appointments for the next 3 weeks.
