I’m shocked with the way both the receptionist and the GP handled the request for my husband to be seen. It took me 9 hours to and numerous calls to understand actually that we were not going to get an appointment. I am now told to go to 111, which I would have if they told me at 9 in the morning. Very inconsiderate and lack of care. If we are to go to 111 in the first place why are there surgeries. I’m really sad with the way Parkside medical practice has dealt with the request.

Well before I was very happy with them but since they introduced the new online system called Klinic I am nothing but disappointed. I mean nothing to them now as a patient at all. I am booking appointments pick the availability and expecting that call or appointment will be made within that time but never is. And apparently it’s my fault. It’s like we are not a patients anymore just a number to be dialled and dumped.
I am looking for some way to make further complaint about this because it’s unacceptable.

Don't even bother registering here. We've been with the practice for over 20 years and it used to be excellent and now it's never been worse. I requested an appointment to discuss my HRT on 6th Jan and was promised someone would come back to me, I've heard nothing...I did not want an immediate appointment and was happy to wait several weeks but if I cannot even BOOK what am I supposed to do? As I will need to arrange to take time off work. Just tried again this morning in between meetings, using the on-line system at 11am, only to find the system for even 'REQUESTING an appointment is now offline until 2pm, well guess what I'm back in another meeting at 2pm and then by the time I've finished that meeting no-doubt the system will be back offline again until tomorrow. This is simply to REQUEST an appointment I might add! Ridiculous!
Last week my Son had to use an Inhaler 2 YEARS out of date as he couldn't get his prescription signed off as quote 'there are no Dr's in the surgery on a Tuesday'! This is following on from the last time I waited 4 days for a prescription, resulting in my showing up at the surgery on a Friday in desperation only to be told the same thing ' there are no GP's available to sign the prescription on a Friday'!
OK? So if there none there on a Tuesday OR a Friday then what EXACTLY are they doing there? You go onto the website and its a bleeding hearts story about how they only receive 35p funding per patient. Well that's obviously a reason to only do a 3 days week then, I mean if it's easier we can all just go to A&E and then you wont need any GP's there at all, or maybe we should just all hurry up a die? I'm sure the job would be far easier if wasn't for the patients! I'm well aware of funding crisis in the NHS but you need to lobby the Government and the local MP about this, not make your patients suffer.....

Always very impressed by doctors here. New triage system seems to work well so that urgent cases are seen same day or phoned and others eg physio are referred without taking gp time unnecessarily. It seems to have resolved the old problem (elsewhere) of all appointments being booked up for weeks

Useless. Years ago I used to be able to call up my local GP surgery and be seen by a doctor within reasonable timeframes. This practice however diverts you to an online booking system that is seemingly designed to keep you far away from recieving any medical assessment or sends you to other services like 111 and pharmacies!?

Absolutely fantastic experience. I easily submitted an online request and was fitted in on the same day. The GP (Dr Lamptey) wanted to see me in person and was able to see me after work. She was so friendly, personable and reassuring. I’m told there’s a long wait to see her and I understand why! I’ll look forward to seeing her in 3m for a follow up. The receptionist Karen was lovely and informative too. Thanks so much!

I think this practice is by far the best GP practice I have used, some I moved here in 2021. They use Klinik, an online appointment and triage system. I relay my symptoms, they call me, refer me or prescribe something on the same day. Brilliant!
The receptionist are a mixed bunch, some helpful, some not. Which seems standard to all GP surgeries.

I was referred to Parkside for a procedure. Everything was all I could have ever hoped for. All communication on the lead up was precise and informative.
At my consultation meeting, the practice was bright, clean and welcoming and check in was quick and easy.
Jean upstairs was so helpful in putting my mind at ease, she answered all my questions and relayed all kinds of information I hadn't even considered.
On the day of my procedure, the two practitioners were really friendly, warm and reassuring. (They introduced themselves but that was at the peak of my anxiety so I sadly dont remember their names)
Post procedure check-ins and communication was fantastic and timely.
I had reason to call the practice twice between my initial appointment and completion. Both times Emma on the front desk answered and was exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Ok, I think I'm done..
