I changed to Overdale from a nearby practice after being continually fobbed off
by receptionists when I described my symptoms. The first time I phoned Overdale and described my symptoms in exactly the same way they saw me within two hours and did a blood test at the surgery the next day. My thyroid had been out of action for ages and it had affected my kidneys. Over a year later I am still so greatful for the continuing care.

I cannot understand some of the negative reviews about this practice and especially when I speak to people who go to different doctors surgeries and it can take up to 2 weeks for them to get an appointment!! With Overdale you can ring in the morning and get an appointment that morning or the same in the afternoon. Where else would you get that service? Ok you may have to wait a little bit but that is sadly part of the NHS nowadays and partly due to too many people living in our small Country but I have never had to wait that long and the Reception staff are always helpful and pleasant. I think they do a great job in very difficult times.

I have been a patient at Overdale for many years and can honestly say their clinical care is excellent. I have total confidence that they will all do their level best to ensure my complex health needs are looked after, and considering the constraints under which the NHS are operating they do a great job. If you have to wait, be patient, maybe one day you’ll be the person needing extra time and care.

Being new to Ocbrook I have had the to use Overdale surgery in Borrowash . I registered with the practice on recommendation from a close friend who herself uses the practice. Well what a difference from my previous surgery. Staff, nurses, pharmacist, doctors, administrators in fact everyone greets you with a smile and nothing seems to be too much trouble. I would be interested in joining the practice user’s panel at some time in the future. Well done NHS

Everyone is extremely friendly, from receptionists to nurses and doctors, nothing seems too much to ask and they always greet you with a smile. With so many complaints about the NHS at the moment, it's a delight to be able to depend on a clinic like Overdale. Thank you guys!
