When you actually get to see a GP they are very helpful, however getting an appointment is impossible. The system of calling at 8 and hoping that you are lucky enough to be in the 1st 10 people on the phone does not work nor does telling working people to come and queue at 8 to maybe get an appointment that day. Sort out online booking have appointments available online for a few days in advance. 3 times now i have needed a GP and been forced to pay over £200 for a private appointment for an issue which if given more than 10 minutes on the phone could have been resolved. Also stop telling people to go to a&e thats causing blockages there!

The receptions are always lovely and I have had great experiences with most of the Drs I have seen. Dr Awan is always particularly kind. Yes sometimes you have to wait a little for an appointment, but when its urgent they will always find a way for you to be seen. I feel very lucky to have such a great GP surgery close to me.

I've been calling for 3 days in a row to book an appointment with GP, and they keep saying to me to call the next day because there are no appointments available! After I suffered with anaphylaxis and almost died and this is the second time this year! The receptionist keeps telling me to go to A&E instead! It is a disgrace. I have life-threatening alergy, and I don't know what because I need testing, and I need epipen at least, but why would they care?!?

I phoned to arrange a repeat prescription and the doctor I spoke with asked me to come in the next morning for a check up. Following this thorough examination I have arranged samples and further tests to determine whether I have problems that need addressing. I felt that I mattered and that I was listened to. Excellent service.

Whilst I totally understand having to wait on hold for a considerable amount of time, what I don’t appreciate is being on hold, get to number 3 in the queue and the phone line then goes dead and gets cut off, I ring again to get back into the queue to wait for another age to finally get to number 2 to get cut off again. Whilst I am patient, this is ridiculous and not fit for purpose. Not all of us can stay on the phone indefinitely to get through to someone as we have work and lives to get on with. This option needs to change along with the mind numbing music. It’s not as if I need to contact the surgery often, but the Practice Manager needs to look into ways in making this simpler and less painful for all. As this has happened to me before, it is beyond frustrating and time wasting. A response would be nice but I know this won’t happen either.

Appalling behaviour from the surgery…. They know I’m severely asthmatic but could not be bothered to prescribe me my inhalers for 2 months straight. And treating me like I’m stupid. Asking if I know how to request my medication… what sort of question is that!? Not happy at all. Always cancelling important appointments. I will be changing surgery they’re a joke

I have MS and during the past month have been told by a receptionist I should go to a chemist for conjunctivitis eye drops when I phoned in to get a doctors appointment because I could hardly see. It turned out that I had Blefaritis. I tried last week to get an appointment with a doctor due to a Positive Latent Tuberculosis result from blood tests done due to my MS and was told no appointments available. I tried again this morning to get an appointment with a doctor because yesterday I ended up in A&E at the Lister due to breathing problems. Diagnosis Acute Bronchitis. Phoned surgery this morning to get appointment with a doctor not just for a sick note for work but to ask advise from him/her. Apart from hearing another receptionist shout out that there were no appointments available again today, the girl I was actually speaking to told me to go online to sign myself off work without giving me the opportunity to explain that I needed further help. I think it's outrageous that the receptionists are given so much power to stone wall us that really need help especially as I'd felt so lucky over the years to have belonged to this surgery.
