I've only been registered at Chartham Old School Surgery for a few months, but I am thoroughly impressed with their service. The reception staff are polite and non-judgmental, making every interaction pleasant. Scheduling an appointment, whether in person or over the phone, has been incredibly efficient, and I have always been able to get through on the phone immediately. The convenience of picking up my medication directly from the surgery, instead of having to drive to other pharmacies like Morrisons or Boots, is both impressive and practical. I cannot fault the entire service provided by the amazing staff and doctors at Chartham Old School Surgery. Keep up the amazing work.

Dr Kinnersly is a lovely doctor but has no idea what he is doing in regards to women’s issues. Recently I have experienced excessive bleeding and instead of investigating this issue he just keeps changing my birth control pill. Which is making my hormones jump around like crazy and the bleeding is even worse. I have no idea what to do now

You sit in the phone queue listening to mind numbing music for 45 minutes to reach “number 1” and they hang up. Again and again and again. I had to make five attempts to speak to someone!

When you finally do get to speak to someone it’s like talking to a traffic warden. If you want an appointment be prepared to wait long enough for the illness to have resolved itself if you are lucky, they don’t give a damn. It’s no wonder people go to A&E.

If you are lucky enough to be offered an appointment be prepared to take the day off work because you are certainly not going to be seen outside of normal working hours. If you even suggested it they have a take it or leave attitude.

Poor service. Even taking into account the problems the NHS is having this surgery is beyond bad.

Ok, so I loved the Old School surgery because they were so good to me. But when I changed surgeries, and my new surgery requested my history what old school surgery did was absolutely terrible. They sent all my electronic records to a surgery that I had BEFORE I moved to Chartham. So my new surgery had no records of me prior to February 2023. And I have a complex history. After calling Chartham to find out where they had sent all my files they then told me where they’d sent them. I told them that surgery didn’t request it, but they assured me they did. I told them why would an old surgery request my files when I’m not even in the area?! So now my files are in the patient hub someone out there but not entirely sure. My new surgery NEED my files. So Chartham old school surgery you have made a huge mistake, but no apology from you at all. What if I had a life threatening illness WHAT IF? THIS IS NOT RIGHT.

Dr Kinnersley has been an amazing doctor! He really cares about his paintens. He has taken very good care of me and all my family members for many years now. I've never had a problem with any of the staff at old school we can all get a little overwhelmed with work some times we are all humans. I have personally always found the staff very friendly and helpful! Couldn't wish for a better surgery thank you all at old school surgery.

Dr Kinnersley is great although Prescriptions are never all there when you need them. Hard to get a face to face Appointment and the reception staff can be very rude.
