There is not real help available for children , just a system run by rude professionals and designed to get rid of patients, blame parents and deny care.
My child is suicidal, with social anxiety and selfharming. Camhs has denied care saying that all her problems were gendered related and that she should look for help elsewhere. After that my child's mental health has declined and she endup cutting herself badly and took to a emergency room. Although my child has been constantly saying that she feels like killing herself and has been taken to the emergency once again after the cutting, CAMHS keep saying that she is fine and that she does not need any emergency intervention and not even medication. I almost lost my child due to CAMHS neglect and she still not received any support , just leaflets to read putting the responsibility on her to deal with the situation . They have suggested that my child should be taken to foster care. I give my child the best, she has a clean house, food, nice clothes and love , but for CAMHS is easier to find a foster career and take a child away from her mother than offer a proper treatment. They are avoiding to take responsibility to offer a good mental health service. She has, after a lot of fight, offered a pre assessment that will be done by the lowest level of mental health medical professional and they them will say if she will be seen by a doctor and receive psychotherapy help. The person on the phone was the rudest person I ever spoke in NHS and is not proper trained to deal with people that are under mental distress and has told me that my child will maybe be offered few sessions of CBT and not have access to a Psychiatrist. CAMHS has and is neglecting my child. They do not have real support in place and unfortunately no one is taking this situation seriously and a lot of children will die due to neglect. NHS is in CRISIS and children are paying a high price ( their lives are being slowly taken away).

This service is disgusting. We have been waiting for an appointment for years. Fifteen months ago we undertook a QB test. Following that we were supposed to have an assessment for ADHD. In January 2020 we were told by the manager we were next on the list. I have just been told this assessment is not going ahead. I have been put on numerous courses. Child has received no intervention. The child in question has been neglected by CAMHS. What do we have to do in order that the child receives help?
