Had a blood test today, and despite me fainting (which is typical whenever I have blood tests), the nurse dealing with me was so lovely, kind, and patient. She even grabbed me a drink and some biscuits! I didn’t catch her name, but it’s nurses like this that make a world of difference and leave a lasting impact. Thank you!

When I saw the children’s toys in the waiting area I assumed that this centre is child friendly but they are not. We were there for almost 2 hours which I spent trying to keep him calm and seated, not so easy as he has a condition which causes the opposite. The healthcare professionals that saw him for his appointment were brilliant, engaging and explained everything clearly. However, to be told that my child needs to stay in their area when I had spent the last hour trying to do just that, wasn’t helpful in anyway. And when my child inevitably had a meltdown at being physically forced to stay in his seat he took off his shoes and threw his toys from home (A common behaviour of theirs to show they are feeling overwhelmed) I then heard a voice from another room say “don’t break the toys they’re for other children too”, literally not your toys I brought them from home. If I had been sat there not actively trying to parent my child then I understand, but I had been up and down with them apologising to other patients as we went (all of whom we’re understanding and made sweet comments on my child’s amount of energy). If anywhere should understand medical conditions and have a bit of empathy it’s a healthcare setting. The whole visit was tainted because of one judgemental and unknowledgeable staff member.

My daughter is 4 and she was crying because didn't want blood test. A very nice lady called Anca, did her best and my daughter had blood test in the end. All staff was very nice and patient with my daughter. Thank you xx

The only issue I have with this place is that when it comes to blood test appointments not accessible for deaf people as the staff just says the name or the number and then expects that everyone can understand. There have been times when I've had my appointment and I go in and I don't know when it is my turn because there are no digital displays to tell me who is next.

My 87 yrs old husband has been refused a blood test today, Sept 23rd at 2.45, having not had his online appt cancelled.
He was treated with indifference by the staff, despite having full details and pleading his cause.
He has arrived home exhausted and demoralized, and I am ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS. !!!!!

They are so rude to people and lady who answers phone so rude and dont know what she doing there. The send us home after first test for 2 hour then when i call to asked something they said we shouldnt go home. But they said its ok to go home and come back. Bad
