The first org I contacted for mental health. Took a month to get first appointment. The guy that I saw for initial assessment kept calling me buddy every sentence he spoke. I could see he was mentally incapable himself. Apparently a recovery addict.

Anyway he said he would put me through for professional mental health councilling but said there's a 3 month waiting list. Thats a long wait for someone that needs help straight away. So i waited 3 months and heard nothing.

So contacted them and they put me to another pre assessment with their MH "professional" which not a qualified person but actually a university student doing part time voluntary work at MIND org.

Anyway I attended and that MH therapist/advisor said nothing. I was chatting about my problems and issue I'm having throughout the whole session. She barely said 2 words. I didn't feel confident with this type of help. It just seemed pointless. Not professional and it looked like someone was just training for work experience for her CV.

Anyway I tried to have further MH sessions remotely by phone as I was struggling to get to the location as I live quite distance away and my physical mobility health is also a problem I have. They said they could not support phone or video link sessions. Well that was me finished then. Got nowhere after all these months. I see why people are losing the battles with MH. Esp people of colour can't get help anywhere.
