I just recently moved over to the surgery, and this is by far the best I've ever encountered in the UK. The staff are really friendly, it's fairly easy to get an appointment when it's convenient for you, and they do really seem to care about your well-being.

I am very satisfied with the GP in Newport, I have not encountered any reluctance or disrespect from doctors or reception staff, whenever I call or visit the GP, the atmosphere seems to be good and nice, they try to be helpful and I cannot complain about the lack of appointments or distant appointment dates. I wish more GPs had this approach to patients because it's nice when you use NHS services and feel that someone cares and takes their profession seriously. 🙂

Very poor service from the pharmacy department, for the last three months I have had lots of problems getting my medication. I order online give 7 day’s notice as required. 1)They have said they haven’t received my order 2) I have not ordered the item on my prescription 3) when they have gone on to there system and printed the prescription request . It is dated the correct date give the the right amount of notice and all of the items I need. 4) so why is very rude member of staff saying I haven’t given them enough notice or order the correct items . 5) I suggest the employ someone to do the job properly.

For a NHS service, I do believe we have a good one here. My other half lives in Cambridge, to see a Doctor, he has to wait at least a month, even emergency appointments aren't guarenteed for him, he has to go through a lengthy online process to even see a doctor. If he has any concerns, his best bet is to send in a picture of what he is concerned about, this is also a lengthy process and I feel isn't as thorough as we have here. Everyone is reluctant to see him face to face and his surgery is always telling him to just talk to a doctor online. Here, we have it better I believe and we should be grateful for this. Yes, it is a bit of a slow service with general GP appointments, but better compared to what I have seen in cities. I would just like to put in a special review for Dr Diovidi (sorry if the spelling isn't correct) she is lovely, down to earth doctor and understands my needs, she speaks at such a human level and the visits don't seem as rushed, as much as I know she's on a tight schedule, it doesn't feel like you're an inconvenience to her. I often feel like this with other doctors. I am probably going to do myself no good here but recommending her, as everyone will want to see her and my wait time will be compromised but I feel she is a very good asset to this surgery. I have been attending my whole life and she is the first doctor that has stood out to me as really caring and understanding, plus directing me to the right help that I have needed. Thank you! Be grateful everyone, we have it as good as we can in these times. Grateful for the free health care we have, I hope it lives on forever. Thank you to all the staff that makes this possible too. If you are really concerned then you should be looking at being against the development in our area, because this will only stretch this team even more and make things harder for our doctors. We all need houses, I know as I need one myself, but with the way of the world I believe this is the only thing that can help our services. As our government is reluctant to fund the NHS and expand when needed. They wish to only fund their rich friends dodgy dealings for the benefit of their own pockets. Long live the NHS. Thank you

Excellent care here. Empathetic, patient, polite and informative. Surgery is bright and clean. Dispensary on site is very convenient, as is parking. Registration fast and simple. So far our family have experienced children's vaccinations, blood tests, general check up, physiotherapy and prescription renewal and all have been very good. Wait o phone-in has never been very long and appointments available within reasonable time for general needs.

This Surgery is easy to contact when it comes to setting appointments and other queries. But it takes a lot of patience when it comes to placing repeat prescription. Today is outstanding, five times! I couldn't believe, I was made to dial again and again and it was the 5th time I was served. It was always the same thing said to me, to dial again and press 2, which is a very easy instruction. Yes it takes 5 times!
