A very modern clinic, clean, bright and welcoming. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I had eye surgery here, painless and great aftercare and follow up examinations. Free car parking. Wheelchair friendly. Clean toilets and free tea and coffee. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service , their attention to care and putting people at ease is second to non , had my second eye done yesterday and after already having had my 1st eye done I felt totally relaxed , everyone was really friendly and the cup of tea following my surgery is most welcome , the after care is explained and written down so you have everything you need on discharge ,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend New Medica .

Having been referred for cataract surgery I chose the newmedicaat Barlborough near Chesterfield. The only thing I can say is excellent service from the minute you walk in the building. In a matter of 12 weeks I've had both cataracts done. The service and attention to detail by every member of staff from receptionist to. Consultants is absolutely the very best. Everyone is so good I cannot recommend the place highly enough absolutely first rate top class. A massive thank you to everyone. Mr k Hinde

A wonderful experience from start to finish. I recently travelled to this eye health clinic after being recommended by Specsavers my opticians. After a number of examinations including eyesight and blood pressure I was seen by an optometrist who recommended cataract surgery. Reception advised me of a cancellation and my procedure was completed within 2 days. My experience in surgery was excellent and reassuring with a complete explanation of what would occur. I must add that no injection is necessary. The eye is completely frozen with the use of eye drops. After care is fully explained and after a very welcome cup of tea I was able to be driven home. There was minor discomfort for a few hours and street lights had a halo surrounding them. My distance vision is vastly improved and I was able to travel to town the following morning in search of sunglasses. Thank you for excellent care. Highly recommended.

I was referred for an assessment on 4th March - saw 4 different departments straight after each other. Absolutely seamless and efficient. The main man told me that I would probably get a call in the next two weeks for my first cattaract removal. I said 'as quick as that'? So he checked on his computer and said actually I've had a no show this morning how are you fixed for having it done in the next 5 minutes !!!! I didn't have a chance to get anxious and it was absolutely brilliant - they were marvelous. How's that for service!!!!

I have been more than happy with the way I have been treated at Barlborough.The Clinical staff are brilliant from Reception to Surgical and I can recommend an Operation here to anyone.

From my phone call on the 4th of April went for my assessment on the 5th of April it was quick and Efficient and the staff was really lovely then I got a phone when I got home could you come in on the 8th of April to have your cataract done couldn't believe it was so quick I had it done can't believe what a difference it has made the nurses and surgeon are brilliant can't wait to have my other eye done thank you very much everyone at Newmedica Eye clinic lot's of love Shirley
