Used this service a few times over the years.... Most recently in April 24.....had an infection and was seen by nurse practitioner... He prescribed antibiotics and gave me useful information. Yes I had to wait for an hour at 9pm but this is a small price to pay for this thoroughly excellent service. Staff all courteous and professional and we should be proud to have this fantastic drop in clinic in our area.

First visit here and can’t fault the service. Helpful, pleasant and clean. Very professional throughout. Brought elderly relative who lives out of the area but staying with us and both our GP clinics closed on Saturday. Assessed well and now sorted with medication, getting that started asap to help her, and avoiding a trip to A&E. Thank you for your care.

If your looking to grow a beard well this is the place to do it. Called in this evening to have my stitches removed. Just one nurse on with a trainee. I tell you now there was absolutely no movement in getting people seen. Don't waste your time going hear. Get seen quicker at stepping hill a&e and that's a 7 hour wait..

Very lucky to have this out of hours walk in centre for minor things open in the evenings. My little girl had a rash that nursery wanted checked out, the nurse was lovely and informative, told us it was a viral rash. We had to wait 50 mins but better than being worried or having to go to a&e.

We are so lucky to have a walk in centre and from experience the GP’s/nurses who work here are really very good. However someone at the centre really needs to provide some customer training to the male receptionist who was working this morning. It’s not that what he’s says isn’t right, it’s just the dreadful delivery of it and the awful face pulling that conveys that patients are stupid and a total inconvenience. I’m surprised he isn’t better trained or maybe he’s oblivious to poor communication. I’m happy to talk through my experience of his poor attitude should anyone at the centre wish to contact me. The 3 stars are for the excellent facility and medical staff - the 2 star deduction is for the receptionist.

I had to attend the centre on Monday evening 22 Nov. Firstly the gentleman on reception was very friendly and had a kind word for people arriving. Also in the treatment room I felt that I was listened to and the person I saw explained in detail what the problem was. As a visitor from Spain I was happy with my experience. Thank you.

I had a huge allergic reaction to a wasp stinging me several times on my back. Within 24 hours my back had swollen ridiculously and the burning pain and heat emanating from it was horrendous. I felt light headed and weak. I'd taken several antihistamines and pain relief etc and went to Boots to see if I could do anything else, the pharmacist took one look at my back and told me to head straight to A&E or new mills walk in centre. It was a Saturday evening, after 5pm, no docs were open, I arrived at New Mills walk in centre and was greeted immediately by Karen who was caring, efficient and polite and then within 10 minutes was seen by Jackie the nurse on duty who immediately prescribed max strength antibiotics for cellulitis and told me which out of hours pharmacy could provide them at this late hour. I am so grateful!! By midnight my entire back was swollen and on fire and had I not started that course of treatment immediately I could have been in hospital with sepsis. I cannot thank or recommend this place and its lovely team enough, absolutely top notch xxxx
