I just love Aileen’s approach to her work. She is caring and gentle, encouraging clients and colleagues alike to pause and reflect, making space for answers (and questions!). She is generous with her time and her support of others, she’s warm and genuine and pours her soul into her work. I have been fortunate to take part in her maternal journal sessions a couple of times now and on both occasions I found the process to be cathartic and cleansing, not least because of Aileen’s guidance in being graceful with ourselves. It’s always a pleasure to be in her company and I would easily recommend her services to anyone looking for a genuine, trustworthy guide to help navigate motherhood!

I’ve worked with Aileen and my birth to prep for my birth and after. I first saw Aileen to help me overcome some past traumatic experiences that I was worried woild resurface during birth. She created an incredibly save space for me to help me face and challenge those traumas in a compassionate way. I would have not have had the birth I had without working with her . The mum’s matters breakfasts are a loving and save space to meet mothers and provide a space for self care and support - and a well needed network for new mums! I cannot thank Aileen and her network enough for supporting mothers in this area and for creating a space to meet and interact!

I attended the Mums Matter breakfast organised by Aileen from Birth Matters for the first time at 3 weeks PP. I was anxious as it was an entirely new experience for me and as soon as I walked through the door, Aileen was there with a beaming smile and a wonderful introduction. I was able to meet other Mums and chat to new people. I was made to feel extremely wanted and special there. I was so impressed by all the help offered, even a Doula who answered so many of my questions. I have recommended this event to another Mum friend and am already looking forward to the next one.

A wonderful end of year gathering. Everyone was so engrossed painting baubles with their little ones and chatting. As grandma is was lovely chatting to some of your helpers too Aileen. I can't always come but when I do I feel welcomed and glad to be there. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I have worked and attended multiple birth support events. There is always a warm welcoming environment with lots of other mums and guardians to talk to. The added bonus of coffee and breakfast is amazing. Xoxo

Im a first-time mum, having no clue what to prepare for or how to over come the initial nerves and stress triggers. I found the mum's matter group through Facebook. I took a chance in hoping I would be able to speak to others about their personal experiences and to find others locally who are also with babies. Alot of my friends don't have any just yet so I felt very much alone and knowing i will be off on maternity for a while year i NEEDED to find somewhere safe and inviting. Especially as my husband went back to full time work after only 3 weeks.
The mums matter support group and every single volunteer has given me so much confidence and knowledge over the last 9 months I honestly wouldnt know how I would've overcome each challenging moment or new milestone without them. We are always excited for the next group meeting just to show how much we've both changed in ourselves. My son loves coming every month, playing and meeting new babies and mums. He's become so confident and the warmest of welcomes is always appreciated.
The category of activities are always something new that brings new mums to the group, meeting and sharing. We all get along so well and I have finally found a group of women I can call friends and have whole heartily enjoyed every moment since being welcomed into the group.

Loved attending an event organised by My Birth Support - I went with my 6 week old and everyone was so friendly, helpful and kind. I was a bit nervous as it’s the first group I have gone to as a new mum but I needn’t have worried; Amy, Emma and Hannah made me feel so welcome and even looked after my little one so I could enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a delicious croissant!
I also got some fantastic breastfeeding guidance from Hannah Croft which was really helpful and put my mind at rest.
Thank you - already looking forward to the next one!
