I wasn't treated by this doctor privately but on the NHS as an emergency admission. I found this doctor to be quite dismissive and his team equally so. Maybe as I wasn't paying for it. When examining me he talked over me to his team as if I wasn't there, pulled down my underclothes without my permission, didn't shut the door or pull the curtain round, and couldn't even be bothered to talk to me before my operation when I walked into the operating theatre full of anxiety and nerves. He was too busy preparing his instruments in a noisy fashion that made me even more nervous. He didn't even bother to hang around to speak to me after my operation. His assistant surgeon then came to see me and tried to examine my lower abdomen without a nurse present and by looking down the top of my gown which was completely inappropriate. I thought about complaining but found the entire experience awful and traumatic. I've had continuous post surgical problems ever since. I certainly wouldn't pay to see this surgeon or his team.
