What an absolute pleasure to have been treated by Mr. Athanasiou. I had a complex hernia operation and he was absolutely brilliant..His pre op assessment was detailed but explained simply. He is a very friendly and approachable gentleman. 5 hours after undergoing the operation under general anaesthetic I was out of hospital and able to go shopping. A relative suggested I contact Montefiore Hospital if I decided to have my operation carried out privately. The hospital has a very good web profile page on their consultants with details on their practices. From this I decided upon Mr Antonios Athanasiou as his professional experience aligned with my requirements.
My first consultation with him was within 2 weeks, which I found to be very reassuring with his friendly manor and information provided.
The operation was carried out within a few weeks and on the day Mr Athanasiou visited me before operating, again in a very friendly and reassuring manor. Following the operation he visited me prior to being discharged where he assured me everything went well with some recovery tips.
Two weeks following surgery I had a follow up outpatient appointment with him, where again Mr Athanasiou was extremely pleasant and reassuring. Since the operation I have had a very good recovery with no post-operative complications.
I cannot praise Mr Athanasiou highly enough from the start to the finish of the procedure.

My experience with Mr Athanasiou was faultless from initial consultation to post surgical support. I could also tell how much he is valued by his colleagues.
