The staff were fantastic and it's a great venue.
We were here for a wedding and the whole event was great.
The food at the wedding breakfast was fantastic. The fact that the quality was so high when feeding 100+ simultaneously was a tremendous feat.

The place itself is very nice but needs a touch up. Some of the chairs (dining etc) were a little rickety.
The staircase to the room and surroundings are a little worn and one of the general mumblings was about the bars being expensive which one accepts when there is no competition. However, the beers in the bar were good and the lines were clean.

Overall. A lovely venue and well recommended.

Review of Middleton Lodge – Mixed Experience

While Middleton Lodge is set in a beautiful location, our recent visit left us somewhat disappointed overall, particularly in regard to the spa experience — and we would not return for that aspect alone.

The service at the spa fell short of expectations. Ordering a drink while trying to relax was unnecessarily difficult, which took away from the experience. The facilities themselves are limited: although the pool is advertised as heated, it felt uncomfortably cold even during warmer months. During both of our visits, it was largely unused. There is one outdoor hot tub, but it’s quite small and only fits up to four people, making it difficult to access during peak times. Although we had booked a three-hour spa session, we ended up leaving after just one hour due to the limited amenities.

That said, the Coach House provided a far more enjoyable experience. The service there was warm and attentive, and the food was excellent. It was a real highlight of the visit and helped redeem an otherwise underwhelming day.

While we wouldn’t recommend Middleton Lodge for the spa, we would absolutely suggest visiting for an evening meal at the Coach House — it’s well worth it.

Stayed at the Middleton Lodge in Potting Shed 2 on Friday the 25th due to a wedding I attended. I would give the room a 5* review, however, upon arrival we were quite rudely greeted by a staff member who explained that if the gardener needs access we may need to move our car, which was outside the room in the designated space (or what we thought). Paying £295 a night for a room, you’d expect a parking space without guilt of parking outside it. In addition, the lock on the door was jammed so took a few attempts to get into the room.

Bar this, the room was beautiful. Very clean, cottage relaxing vibes.

Service was outstanding by the ladies at breakfast. Especially a lady (cannot remember her name, but she had a fishtail plait). This lady took care of ensuring my egg was well cooked due to my pregnancy dietary requirements, and it was cooked perfectly.

We will stay again.

Stayed here many times and it is always fabulous. Staff are lovely, venue is beautiful and the whole experience very relaxing. We stayed in the coach house this time. They have been updated since our last stay in them. Refreshed but still very comfy. We had beautiful weather for March so sat and enjoyed a drink in the courtyard. Again a beautiful venue for a relaxing alfresco drink. Breakfast was the usual array of high quality food and drinks, with a hot option. Lovely stay as always, we will be back.

Have just got back from a fantastic weekend celebrating my Husbands birthday. We stayed in The Dairy hot tub room and it was stunning. So clean and beautifully decorated. All the staff are amazing. So polite and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Absolutely stunning grounds. So peaceful and relaxing. Food was fantastic and they were very accommodating with my gluten free requests due to being coeliac. We will definitely be back.

We got married here last year and it was the best day ever. We didn’t think anything could match this but we came back for our one year anniversary and my goodness Middleton is our favourite place in the world.
The staff helped my husband plan a private in room dining experience to celebrate our 1 year and it was impeccable.
We started our day at the Spa which was incredibly relaxing and beautiful food.
We then got ready for a drink at the coach house whilst the staff set up our room. A full table setting candles, bed covered in roses - it was perfection.
We then had a Three course meal served to us in our room and we topped it off with the amazing hot tub.
The service, setting and experience at Middleton is 10 🌟. We will back every year hopefully to celebrate our anniversary.

We did the spa evening as a couple. The place is great, staff is friendly and the food is good. I recommend the honey pudding as a dessert and tomato mozarella toast as a starter. You'll need to start dining before 8:30pm if you want to be done at 9:30pm like indicated in the schedule of the spa evening, which we hadn't planned for and so we had to leave a bit in a rush as we had to get back home on time. It smelled a bit like a farm in the outdoor spa for some reason, which is a slight minus, but it wasn't too much of a problem.

What a stunning venue. Attended my sisters wedding. It was superb from start to finish. The food was wonderful, the staff were really friendly & helpful.
