I have just used MET Medical to bring my father back from his care home in France to one here in south east England. I honestly cannot praise them enough. From the moment I contacted them for a quote - which arrived promptly with lots of detail, clearly everything had been carefully thought about - to the delivery of my father this evening after a 14 hour day for all of them the service has been incredibly kind, competent and thorough. The paramedics who I met this evening were all charming and so kind, the members of the booking team were all really reassuring on top of everything and, above all, they undertook what was a big job at less than 7 days' notice. Added to all that, they rang me at regular intervals today to update me on how the journey was going. I recently used this service for my elderly dad (94 years) to be transported from Cornwall to Milton Keynes to a care home.
The paramedics were called Charlotte and Lizzie.
From start to finish the professionalism and friendliness was remarkable.
My dad turned up at the care home so happy and laughing away with the girls whereby I had expected dad to be jaded and miserable but he was the exact opposite.
I would one million per cent recommend this service.

I experienced another transfer, this time from Stevenage to Bishops Stortford. The team were competent and friendly and the ambulance transfer was surprisingly comfortable. I may be biased as its run by family, but would highly recommend them whether or not this was the case!

Transferring my Mum from one care home in Hertfordshire to another in Norfolk, a journey of 3.5 hours.

From the very first moment we contacted Met-Medical, they couldn’t have been more professional and helpful.
Alex, on the booking line was exceptionally helpful to my wife and I, explaining the booking procedure and how the following process worked.

On the day of my Mum’s transfer, the ambulance called me approx. 30 mins before they arrived, allowing us to prepare Mum without getting her stressed.

When the guys arrived, Lee and Lee, were very friendly and caring to Mum, which made her feel at ease. They moved her into the ambulance, settled her in and made her feel comfortable, my wife was escorting her to the new care home, the guys also made her feel at ease and comfortable.

Once the ambulance got on its way, the guys were really chatty , friendly and caring, keeping my Mum amused throughout the journey.

Mum arrived safely, the guys moved her from the ambulance into the care home, where she was made to feel at home.

My wife and I would highly recommended met-medical to anyone who requires a private ambulance. Everyone was very helpful, caring and professional. Nothing was too much trouble.
