I’m usually understanding as a paying parent and appreciate the challenges of running a business in today’s economy, but I was really disappointed with my recent visit. After paying just under £14 for entry and another £7 at your counter for some of your products, being told I couldn’t feed my two children after school felt rather unreasonable.

When I mentioned that one of them is a baby, I was told you “try to supply a range of baby food” and that I could leave a review on that — so here it is. All the baby food available to purchase was highly processed and full of sugar, while I was simply trying to offer my children carrots, cucumber, and homemade banana bread.

Considering the amount paid, I think a little flexibility and understanding toward parents would go a long way

Was very disappointed, this is the second time I have visited the soft play with my nephew. The lady on the front desk was very abrupt and rude to us but not to the people behind us or in front. I then went to purchase food and the lady behind the counter did not acknowledge me at all, and she knew I was stood there. After a few minutes I left it. I then tried to go up a second time and got in the queue and when it was my turn to be served the women walked off and said ‘I’m going to make some food now’ and just walked away. Leaving me stood there again for the second time. This was a Wednesday morning so was not that busy at all.

Swimming lessons. Got fed up with the lack of progress being made. My child has been going for a few years and it doesn't feel like enough progression has been made. They should be a competent swimmer by now.

Even after several years they still only ever swim 5 metres to a platform placed half way across the 10m pool. My child is fed up of going and I can understand why.

Today we visited the new soft play its a fantastic place to take the kids! All the staff are so friendly, welcoming and accommodating and great with children

Make Waves Swim School has been absolutely amazing for my daughter! From the very first lesson, the instructors made her feel welcome, supported, and safe, tailoring the sessions to her needs with such patience and encouragement.

It’s been incredible to see her confidence grow week by week. She genuinely looks forward to every class, and the smile on her face when she’s in the water says it all. While she’s still learning to swim, she’s already enjoying herself so much and making fantastic progress.

My daughter started swimming here a month ago. Her confidence has shone already. She cannot wait to go every week. I'm over the moon with how at ease they have made my anxious daughter feel! The team at make waves is friendly, helpful and so welcoming! We can’t wait to start our lessons, we have heard nothing but amazing things about make waves swimming lessons with many friends booking on from day 1 of them opening and have said how much confidence their children have grown since being with them! The soft play is also amazing value for money! Super clean, not over crowded, and amazing treats available to buy! Also really good area for the smaller ones to play with various toys!
