Once again excellent service by Lunts Pharmacy in Craven Arms at their COVID vaccinations in the Community Centre yesterday on Thursday 9th October, 25. I have been coming here for several years now as our village GP practise no longer provides this vaccine, only flu ones. The staff here are extremely friendly and put you at ease straight away. Painless injection in a blink from a lovely pharmacist. Cannot fault their service and a big Thank You to all the staff at this branch. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been using this chemist for many years, but a recent experience has left me feeling completely let down.

I live with chronic pain and take co-codamol daily — recently adjusted due to cancer/chronic pain. When I visited to collect some, I was told I couldn’t have any. I explained my GP had sent my prescription over to a different chemist but due to a specific brand requirement, I had been left without any medication.

While I was explaining this, the staff member walked away and said to a colleague — loudly enough for my 14-year-old son to hear — “She doesn’t even need these.” That kind of comment is completely unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting. It deeply upset my Son and added unnecessary distress during an already painful time.

I spoke with the pharmacist directly and raised a complaint. He told me he didn’t hear the comment, even though it was directed at him. The lack of compassion and accountability was shocking.

No one should ever judge someone else’s pain — especially not in front of a child. I left the pharmacy in tears, and my Son was extremely upset. I’m now on morphine for pain management and feel heartbroken that a place I once trusted could treat someone in my position with such disregard.

I hope the staff are reminded that respect and empathy are essential in their roles.

No matter when I enter the Craven Arms shop I am greeted with a smile and superb service even when they're under extreme pressure. All the staff go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating no matter whatbis thrown at them. They have never let me or my family down. What a superb team. Well done Team Craven Arms Lunts.
