came down with a severe stomach infection and was affected for this for a long period of time. I was having severe symptoms such as fainting, nausea, inability to move out of bed, inability to eat & drink and more. I had to be medically signed off from work. I kept coming to this doctor surgery to get them to listen to me. After doing endless tests they kept telling me my test results all came back negative and normal. 10 months later, eventually i was sent to endoscopy in another hospital. Within the five minutes after my procedure they gave me answers and told me i am positive stomach infection. Why did it take 10 months for this GP surgery and nursers who haven’t known me longer than 5 minutes to give me a diagnosis? On top of this every male doctor i spoke to queries my periods, accusing me of been pregnant and refuses to re-prescribe period pain medication of which i rely on every month. The amount of pregnancy tests i have done both on my period and off, is ridiculous. The only thing good about this doctor surgery are the females, they were compassionate, kind, listening and gave me the truth. I was only ever given medications and referred to hospital by female doctors.

Shockingly awful doctors, the PATCHS system is horrific. I have put 3 requests but not received a call so have been left in an awful amount of pain. The hospital has passed information to them and they do not follow it up. They keep sending extremely aggressive emails for an appointment I missed over 3 months which was booked for me while I was at work (for before I finished work) and no phone call was received. It feels as though they just tick boxes so they do not get complaints. I understand that the NHS is completely on its knees but this is the worst doctors. It needs to be closed down and a new bigger and better facility needs to be opened in Maldon. Some people who work here are very helpful particularly on the admin team.

Pretty difficult for any surgery to be 5 stars standard with the current state of the NHS, but this practice is doing very well in my opinion. The online appointment system works well, and when you visit the receptionists are pleasant and helpful.

I've made a formal complaint. The way I was treated and spoken to by the receptionist after a very nasty fall recently and asking for help, was disgusting. If I had gone anywhere else, a shop etc, I would have been treated with compassion and kindness I know Tesco's treats customers with kindness if an incident happens. All she shouted at me was, you need to go to A&E, no-one here to help, go to A&E. So, the very place you should be able to receive assistance after a very nasty incident, in fact don't help you at all!. Instead, they shout A&E at you, embarrassing you in a busy queue at the practice. I am really disgusted with the practice!

Patchs is a disgrace. system never seems to work 2 hours 20 minutes to get through to receptionist (God help any one who finds them self seriously ill) whole system seems to have been put in place to block your path and fob you off and make life easier for part time staff.what happened to the days when you could walk in and wait patiently.NHS please close this pratice and do everyone a favour

Reception are so unhelpful and refuse to assist with anything. Instead state ‘Go on PATCHES.’ I am shocked as I have never experienced such awful customer care from a health service.

The system needs reassessment and then reception team needs training and to learn the meaning of compassion.

My diagnosis of the NHS is that it has died. I cannot get an appointment through patches and a repeat prescription has been sent to the wrong place. I am spending time trying to rectify this mistake. Follow their procedures and they don't follow.... I give up. Medical and nursing staff are good but getting to them is impossible. A letter to my MP is on way.

The Patchs online booking system is a complete joke, when you finally get through it boots you off, after 7 failed attempts I'm now driving to Colchester Urgent Treatment Centre, they had a telephone appointment in 2 weeks that the could book if it helped.
They need to sort this out as looking at all the other reviews it’s an ongoing issues that is obviously not being looked into.
