Please don't ever call here I just spoke to the most FOUL disgusting attitude woman I have ever spoken to in my entire life. Rang to ask if you did smear tests as GP said you do , to be literally shouted at saying we only do sexual health, it's fine if you don't do them but the way she spoke to me was absolutely abysmal. I work in the NHS and speak to patients all day long and the level of unprofessionalism is unreal she should be reported , as a person who is worried and needs this doing urgently I was so upset and after asking some questions of where I can get this done ASAP to be shouted at I said goodbye and she just cut me off and slammed the phone down. Is this how you treat patients ? Disgusting.

4 stars because I was extremely nervous to call and the lady on the phone was quite rude. She didn’t really listen to me and just insisted they had no appointments, I told her I just wanted a consultation and got someone to call me back. The woman on the phone for the consultation was the nicest person, extremely helpful and got me an appointment a week after I called (despite what the lady on the reception said). Receptionist staff at the appointment were very friendly and the doctor who saw me was also lovely and very professionally. Overall very good service. Would have been 3 stars except I called back today and the lady I got through to on the phone was lovely, so the one I got the first time must be an anomaly. I’d just maybe explain to some of your reception staff that their clinic deals with sensitive issues and it’s important to be kind and helpful on the phone.

Telephone service very bad, can never seem to get through no matter what day or time I call. Tried staying on hold to get through but even after almost an hour, there was no answer, and the call was eventually ended (I was not the one who hung up). Tried calling the number listed in the announcement (they posted a mobile number to ring because their telephone line was faulty about a month ago, I would imagine a health service should have fixed their telephone line after several weeks) but nobody answered that number either, it just goes to voicemail.
When I tried to go to the clinic in person a few months ago, the receptionist spoke to me (with a rather harsh tone, might I add) through an intercom and asked me to say what I was there for in the car park with people around. They would not open the door and said they were not offering walk ins, which was not what I was there for anyway.
2 stars because I managed to get a telephone consultation with a nurse in the past, which was supposed to be in preparation for an appointment, and she was very professional. However I still haven't had my actual appointment or a call back since, so not being able to get through to anyone is quite upsetting. I still have needs that are not being met and seemingly no way to speak to someone and get the help.

Rang to book an appointment only to be spoken to like utter dirt. The woman who answered today at 10am (23/03/21) was the rudest person I’ve encountered in a long time. Zero willingness to help, I got nervous having to ring the clinic in the first place and am just utterly shocked at how rude she was. She didn’t book an appointment for me so it was a complete waste of time. Go elsewhere.

Similar experience to other people. I was nervous and unsure... Woman who spoke to me was rude impatient and unhelpful. I wanted to hang up. Apparently she has the ability to diagnose over the phone. You only got a 2 because the nurse and doctor were very kind and patient. Expect better from the GUM clinic to be honest

Yes it's a long and frustrating wait. Seems unfair when people after you get seen 1st. But for a free and confidential health check for peace of mind it is worth the wait (even though the car park rates are extortionate). Very polite and helpful staff considering the pressure they must be under.
