The recent service is horrendous; especially after Dr Julie left the surgery. There are only one experienced male doctor. Another is a young female doctor (HP) who probably doesn't have much experience to handle a whole surgery and its admin. She is always out of the surgery. The e-consultation is closed by 8:20am because GP can't handle a lot of enquiries which never happened during Dr Julie's time and even during Covid. Dr Julie and Dr Alderman handled everything so efficiently in the crisis period. That's called efficiency. Recently, I fell seriously ill with severe dizziness throughout the day and night. I called the GP service next morning because it's my body and I felt something was not right. One reception lady clearly told me to ignore as there is nothing serious (as if she herself is a qualified doctor). Next morning I called the surgery again. The other lady was kind enough to probably understand the seriousness of my situation. I didn't want any medication or any special help from GP, I wanted to know why this was happening. I have the right to know about my illness. That reception lady assured me that a doctor would call me next morning to discuss the matter. Trust me, there are 5 mornings passed since then, the phone call hasn't come yet. They are not doing any favour on us. The GP surgery is there because we are there. If we stop going there, the surgery will be closed. This GP has shortage of efficient doctors. A new doctor has joined probably a couple of days ago. Lets see how she is. After Dr Julie's retirement / leave, we, under Links Road Surgery, really feel helpless. Not recommended for new residents.

Only good thing about this GP is the practice nurses and . They are just brilliant.

I have had nothing but the best service particularly from the nurses who I have seen a lot of over the past few years!

I don’t actually want to give a 5 star review because I’d like to keep this place as a best kept secret. I can’t believe anyone has given this place 1 star so I had to have my say. I have been with this surgery for years now and the level of support is second to none. First of all the receptionists are exceptional, I am always able to get an appointment and mostly on the same day I call. My Dr is amazing and I just feel so very lucky to have a friendly, efficient, team looking after me and my family. 5 stars isn’t enough I’d give them 10 if I could.

The best GP practice. All staff are so caring and always make the time. Appointments are always given in good time and the reception team is brilliant. I've been with Links Road Surgery for over 15 years and I'm so grateful to them!

Awful! Avoid if you can help it.
The reception staff, nurses and support staff are absolutely brilliant but the doctors don't have any availability to speak to you.
Thank you for responding to the review. This seems to be quicker and actually seeing the GP. Perhaps investment should go to delivering the core service rather than pretty up a service that is poor at core.
I’ve had to go private after visiting A&E twice.

I can't rate this doctors practice enough. All the reception staff are excellent, polite and very accommodating. The doctors I see are always professional, caring and listen. The nurses are wonderful to. I honestly have to say this is one best surgery around this area and would highly recommend. Keep up the good work and thank you all the reception team, doctors & nurses for what do for me even tho I'm a pain in the rear.

Although some Doctors and Nursers are very good there- including Dr Alderman, I have been kept waiting for ages on number of occasions. They seem to overbook the system, despite coming in early to wait more than half an hour with 2 kids with no kids toys or equipment makes it almost unbearable. Patients seem to come in and go- in like 5 minutes intervals so I don’t get why such delays in the morning already. If it’s is a one off I could understand but it happened so many times I simply have to change Doctors- that was actual advice of reception stuff to do if we are not happy. It’s good that u can get same day emergency appointment but if u book in advance u expect to be seen on time - or at least not after long wait. I have been to few GPs and always only move due to moving house but this time it’s as service is not good, also never have to wait so long for on so many occasions.

I have been at this surgery since I was 4, I'm now 34! In every industry we have our issues with someone or something. So yes sometimes it can be frustrating having to wait a bit longer than your appointment time but I fully understand there is a good reason for this and people need to be more understanding and patient. The support I have had from Dr Ebbage is incredible. If you have a invisible illness like myself to be told it's all in your head is common BUT Dr Ebbage is supportive and listens to you. Can not recommend this surgery enough.
