I regret to say that my experience with this GP has significantly declined over the past few years. It seems that the focus has shifted from patient care to profit. I have encountered difficulty in obtaining medications that the mental health services team has approved, raising serious concerns about their commitment to patient health.

Furthermore, the attitude of the staff has been disappointing; I have often felt spoken to dismissively, which is unacceptable in a healthcare setting. Appointments are nearly impossible to secure, making it clear that this practice is more concerned with managing numbers than providing quality care.

It has come to my attention, through whistleblowers, that decisions regarding prescriptions are influenced by financial considerations rather than patient needs. I would like to emphasise that I do not wish to be contacted regarding this review, and I will not provide any information about the whistleblower in accordance with UK whistleblowing protection laws, specifically the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998.

If you value compassionate care over a transactional approach, I highly recommend looking for a new surgery. This is no longer a GP service; it feels more like a business.

Lovely receptionists and some of the ANP's are lovely. It's definitely gone downhill. You can't get to see a doctor for 4 weeks minimum. Had some bad experiences recently

As with all surgeries, it can take a while to get through and there are lengthy waits for appointments. However, I've found the doctors and nurses extremely approachable, great communication, collaborative and actually listen to you. They've always made me feel at ease when I've needed to visit. The call back service and live queue for appointments are especially useful.

I very rarely use the doctor but honestly this week I cannot praise them enough! Called at 8am and had a nurse appointment at 9am and I was booked in for bloods at 8.35am the next morning. Was in an out both times, first was 10 minutes late, second appointment was 10 minutes early. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Results have been published on the NHS app.
My only annoyance is the staff and automated messages on the phones say appointment are released at 7am on the NHS app. This isn't the case, the appointment types available on the app are very limited.

Every time I visit Library House surgery, very little waiting times. Very friendly and helpful staff and also treated with the utmost professionalism from Dr Cairns.
Knowing I have Dr Cairns as my doctor is very reassuring and gives me peace of mind.

I have been with library house surgery since it opened. The doctors are absolutely brilliant (Dr Cairns is very approachable) and the nurses genuinely listen to you. The receptionist team do their best and they are very helpful. However the waiting times on the phone are really long, I rang and I was 22 in the line. You can get a call back which is a good facility. I do think this needs addressing though. The only reason I gave four stars is because I struggle to use some of the facilities because I work full time. The meds line is always closed by the time I can get to it and I struggle to get an appointment outside work. However all the staff there clearly try their best to help people.

I just want to thank you so much to library surgery who have bent over backwards to get me the help, support and care I needed this week from the young male trainee receptionist on the phone to his manger Jackie and Dr Yates who made time in his busy schedule to see me and treat me. I honestly can't thank you enough, not only for that but also the follow up phone call and follow up appointments booked. I am truly grateful and appreciative. Thank you for everything that you do.x
