I visited for XRAY referred by my GP. I arrived 10 mins early for my 12 midday appointment. Easy and friendly checkin. Did not have a chance to sit and wait- watch TV or have a snack as I was taken in straight away. No other patients ahead of me. Fast and efficient processing, my questions answered. All good. This small NHS hospital has FREE Car Parking for around 40 cars at the rear of property. Clearly signed access to main hospital wheelchair friendly only a short downhill route surrounded by blue painted railings. Disabled parking for 8 vehicles at front. Entrance to X-ray unit is through automatic sliding doors. Reception immediately on left side. Comfortable chairs in small waiting area with free water cooler. Snacks available at certain times served by a human!

I have called about 6 times all at different times (opening time, early afternoon, afternoon, early evening all) to as some questions about a second appointment after an operation and no one is answers the phone. It just rings and rings with no answer- unbelievable! How on earth is anyone supposed to contact/be supported post op if you wont answer the only publicly available number for help?

Most dreadful experience I have ever had. Was sent by 111. Husband explained to receptionist I had covid that I would wait outside as I was in porch. Receptionist by name of Jules came out ranting that we had upset whole waiting room. She had checked I could not be seen in her department when she is not even clinical and threw me out and not her department she is just receptionist, I had to sit on brick wall but another patient who was waiting realised I was compromised (have MS and recent cancer survivor) and brought me a wheel chair. I work in NHS covid is not a something you even have to tell them about, I was trying to be considerate. Now 8 days later as have been away which is why I needed so see someone quickly, I have been given my treatment. This has meant 2 days off sick for me another NHS worker! What a waste of money. Jules really needs some training or to be moved from face to face position until she has had some training refused to even acknowledge that I was being responsible. Yet I had had to go there to get antivirals 2 days previously and was seen no problem? Jules actions make no sense. Her behaviour was a real let down to a hospital where I have previously had a good experience.
Team leaders please make sure your staff are adequately trained. Anyone in that waiting room may have had covid but not tested. Patients with covid do not have to declare it and should not be treated in the way Jules treated me. Left in tears. Absolutely disgusted with her behaviour as NHS representative . How she conducts herself in her own time is up to her but when at work she is representing all of us. Shameful.

Had excellent care at the urgent treatment unit - staff were very professional , friendly and helpful. Wait time despite a lot of patients was about one hour - very good

Lewes urgent medical unit - This was the most wonderful experience I have had in regards to my health. My GP at charter medical in hove did not care to treat or refer me for my potentially broken ankle. I had a phone consultation and they told me not to bother with a face to face. And just told me to travel all the way to Lewes to have it checked at Victoria hospital. Upon arriving I was seen so quickly and told my GP was incorrect and should have seen me face to face and referred me to the poly clinic in hove. She wad shocked this happened to me. And asked immediately who my dr was. Thank you. Victoria hospital.

In my opinion Victoria Hospital Lewis is the nicest hospital in Sussex the waiting time is top Class second to none every time I have had to go to Lewis Victoria Hospital which has been ofden over the years for X-Rays ect I haven't had to wait long to been seen and the nurses and staff are ever so polite to be perfectly honest it is the only hospital I've addtened that says that are sorry if they are running slightly late outstanding the hospital is so clean and I have been in most of the hospitals is Sussex from Brighton Eastbourne Hayward Health plus the princess Royal which is also a top class Hospital aswell.
Parking is easy at the Lewis Victoria to being Disabled it is also free unlike Brighton!
If I could give more stars I would so a definite full 5 out of 5 stars from me.

If by any chance your doctor asks you what hospital you would like to attend definitely ask for Lewis Victoria and if you have an injury which I hope you don't The Lewis Victoria is the best hospital!

I had a very positive experience at the urgent treatment centre today. The receptionists were extremely efficient, radiographer was brilliant and special thanks to the practitioner I saw, Richard, who was very thorough and spent time explaining the problem and treatment plan. He was fantastic.
