The surgery is always inundated with calls, often meaning a long wait to reach the front of the queue. I have two children under 5 so am regularly calling for one reason or another. The staff you speak to on the telephone are incredible - so patient and understanding despite clearly being very busy. Without exception I have always been treated with kindness and received the service I needed. I called this morning for a same day GP call back and received excellent service from reception and the GP. Thank you.

These guys are amazing. Yes, getting an appointment is hard work, but that's not the surgery's fault. Staff are friendly and helpful and all of the healthcare professionals that I have seen have exceeded my expectations in their friendliness, helpfulness and care, including kindness and compassion. In my experience, it is the GPs and their tireless teams who are holding the NHS together. Well done, and keep up the good work. It is very much appreciated.

If you are fortunate to see a practice professional you may have a chance of good appointment. However, not all Dr’s feel invested and can come across as aloof. Appointments are difficult to get in a reasonable time period (less than 2-weeks). Getting an answer on telephone is extraordinarily challenging and is very time consuming. After over 30-years with a chronic health issue and 2-years at this surgery I have never felt so isolated and unsupported. Pharmacies and hospital professionals are acutely aware of this surgery so be be prepared for ‘oh…ok’ and ‘mmm.. I have heard’… I completely understand the pressures faced by the NHS and the growth of catchment areas along with the expectation the surgeries will simply pick-up government directives and do heavily empathise. I also see that budgets do not reflect such pressures. I have however experienced brilliance from surgeries with the same issues. The key has been the strength of character, commitment and compassion of partners along with the employment of outstanding practice management. ALL of which value each patient and most importantly listen to their community.

Fantastic service today. Doctor Hall saw us and immediately identified concerns and provided solutions, then booked us a follow up appointment. Felt like we’d been tackling the problem for years and he was the first person that seemed to understand!

Although the staff and doctors at this surgery are all great, the booking system is a complete nightmare. Appointments are released daily at 10am and are completed booked by 10.01am. It would be easier to get tickets to Taylor Swift than see a doctor here. If you phone for an appointment you are directed to 111 - for my particular issue I was directed to Pharmacy Direct.... when I saw the pharmacist he told me I needed to see a Dr and round and round we go. You can no longer see the same GP and the system here is useless. I wonder whether all surgeries are now like this? Very frustrating.

All the doctors and nurses but especially Dr Ellis who is especially knowledgeable regarding menopause and Dr Hall are amazing , the practice priorities you when you need it and offer advice and alternatives if your situation is not urgent . On every occasion in the past 2 years I have been impressed by professionalism , kindness and expertise with every member of staff I have dealt with . The phone cue is difficult but worth the wait.

Just had my COVID and Flu vaccines this afternoon. A very efficient system, with excellent organisation by staff at the surgery. In and out within five minutes. Staff are unfailingly cheerful, caring and focused in getting so many people innoculated so quickly.

This dreadful surgery failed my mother once again today. She's in her 90s and housebound and they *always* refuse her a doctor. GP care is not available to you at Leckhampton Surgery if you're old and frail. Forget assisted dying, this is rationed health care and the old go to the wall. Without exception the reception staff either cancel home visits (going rogue and overriding clinical judgement that this is what she needs) or, as today, fob her off to A&E rather than have a GP spend 5 minutes prescribing antibiotics for a repeat condition. Thus they stress her old bones enormously + also jam up precious A&E resources just so their own books look good. Worst of all is how aggressive they all always are (apart from one nice lady who took our first call this morning). It doesn't matter how much we are sweet as pie to them, they are routinely offensive. I don't understand why such cruel people work in healthcare (or why they don't have training). Have given one star but should really be zero as my mum is receiving zero care.
