You have introduced a process reminiscent of a supermarket deli counter. Designed, I assume to distribute fairly the limited number of available appointments. Wed 11 Dec, 7 tickets issued, 2 returned. Waited over 1 hour. A girl ahead of me, in pain, went to reception, had a conversation, and then left, clearly distressed.
I went up and asked if they were still calling out the numbers and was told. "We didn't know there was anyone left with tickets and there are no appointments available as we gave them to people who rang in."
If you are going to operate this system please ensure you have sufficient appointments available for the tickets that you issue. Admittedly the available times may not be suitable but you at least have the opportunity to reschedule your life or decline it.
Not good enough.

I'm on the point of giving up! Phoned the surgery for medication advice and was told I need a med review via e consult. Received confirmation by text 3 days later. I had a phone call 10 days later but didn't reach the phone in time, so called the surgery but receptionist said it was impossible to find out who called me, and that they would call me back. Ofcourse, no-one has called me back, and it's now over 3 weeks since I made initial contact, meanwhile I can't progress with my diabetic treatment plan until I find out if my new meds will interact with diabetic treatment. I've also received a letter from the surgery which I don't understand. The same receptionist informed me that it was a clinicians letter and nothing to do with the surgery, even though it says Leap Valley Surgery on the letter ,and to wait to hear from them. But the letter says to make an appointment, with 3 possible times, one of which has already passed!!? I was also told that a pharmacist would contact me , that was back in December! Still waiting! I know the NHS is stretched, but some sort of informed advice and communication at reception is surely needed. I really just don't know what else I can do? I can't face another interminable phone queue situation just to be told to carry on. Will I ever get a med review, or at least just some advice? Will I ever find out about the letter? Will the pharmacist ever contact me? PLEASE Leap Valley could someone get back to me

Awful, just awful. A long e-consult form has to be filled in just to request an appointment, then when they say they will send an appointment, they don’t - they’re as scarce as hens teeth. Have waited patiently for two months (even though the doctor requested to see me again last month). It’s absolutely hopeless.

Well I did give a good review until the Dr I saw said she was referring me on the 2 week rule hospital never received the referral so my symptoms are worse contacted surgery all I get told was I will pass it on to the Dr....meantime I'm not getting seen at hospital while if this is cancer it can spread . Longer it's left ... my own Dr's never messed up referrals ... I only came here cos mine is closed due to no heating ....meantime I'm left worried sick and no one letting me know if Dr has now sorted it .... meantime my lump grows symptoms get worse .... but who cares ?

Terrible surgery being emersons green and leap valley. Lazy, can't get appointments when in need, direct you to online services that don't allow submissions. Need to be investigated by the CQC because how these are managed is completely criminal.

Completed the e-consult form to obtain an appointment for my son who has just undertaken serious hand surgery. This was done on the 10th of January. Erm, 19 days later I have not heard a thing!
Absolutely disgusting service from a taxpayer who has paid into the system for 45 years. What is going on at Leap Valley Surgery!

I called receptionist (Leap Valley Surgery) this morning at 8am and tried to book appointment and get help with something but it disgust me how they treat people rudely across the phone and make the patients wait for a call back after being told "I will call you back after getting some advice". I responded "okay no worries, thank you". I waited over an hour and still nothing. I then called back waited 30 minutes on the phone to be answer and I said "hello" when they answered and they hung up the phone on me absolutely DISGUSTING, no consideration at all for all ages. Very disrespectful and rude they all need to do there job properly and they ain't. Your job is ment to be respectful, kind and helpful to people that needs help. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR YOUR ACTION ON HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND NO EXCUSE WE HAVENT GOT ENOUGH STAFF ETC... DO YOUR JOB AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE POSITIVE REVIEWS AND NOT NEGATIVE ONES, DISGUSTING.

Phone calls not returned
GPs not doing what they say would do
Being lied to by staff saying reports from surgeons have not arrived after two months when they just can't be bothered to read them...
Being told by hampton house 100% your referral has been sent to your GP....then told its hant by these lot...... then it has and now it hasn't...

The staff are useless
The doctors are useless
The secretary's lie
And when you complain you get treated worse.

SACK THE LOT OF THESE USELESS lot and get staff that actually work and don't tell LIES ALL THE TIME!!

Go up
