I needed to message the surgery recently with a health concern. Within 10 minutes of me sending the online form, someone called me to offer me a same day appointment.
I met a practitioner called Chrissie at the surgery. What a breath of fresh air this lady is and such an asset to the practice. It is abundantly clear that she loves her job and cares about her patients. She was kind, professional and made me feel at ease, explaining what would happen and called me back with an update the following day as promised to reassure me.
In a world full of negative attitudes, excellent service and care deserves praise. In a world where life is hard enough, we all need more healthcare professionals like Chrissie.
Well done Haxby group and thank you ?

In the past I have always had positive experiences with this surgery. In the last few weeks my experiences have been very negative. The doctors and nurses are lovely when you get chance to see them. But the receptionists have become extremely rude and snotty lately and very unhelpful. Why? What happened to the lovely receptionists you had a couple of years back.

Called in to use the free blood pressure and bmi machine. Great to be able to check this. Appointment waiting time improved since last visit. Got in for a 20 minute GP appointment quickly this time. Big improvements ?

Utter disgrace not even worth 1 star. Having been refused medication until i have a review and explaining 3 times to a receptionist that working shifts and driving for a living is not practical for phone appointment not receptionist fault clearly Drs not understanding or just don't
care. Get a text to say a clinician will ring you Monday.... guess what no phone call. This is people's
health and welfare they are messing with..absolute

disgrace should not be allowed to practice and still im nearly all out of my meds and still no appointment i will be seeking legal action need to get their fingers out their backsides.

Wouldn't recommend to anybody, takes weeks to see anybody at all, you ring and get through to receptionists who think they're doctors. Get there and nobody helps with your issues. Get your blood pressure done 4 times and it's fine then get told to buy your own blood pressure machines without actually being told what's wrong with you. Phone call appointments they ring once on a private number, if you miss it you'll never hear from them again. What's the point in arranging a phone appointment when you don't say what time you'll be ringing or anything? And then you never hear from you again. Worst doctors in Scarborough

A huge improvement from my past experience. I have actually seen a doctor for the first time ever, who was very professional and efficient. I was called in even though I wasn’t aware of any health problems so my confidence has had a great boost.

Getting fed up of waiting for 3+ weeks for an appointment.
Fed up of every time I’m in there hearing other patients complain about waiting 5+ weeks for results. Them not having documentation of patients with long term conditions. Never have the same doctor.
They have like 10 different departments.
Finally get to an appointment to get zero help!!
Waiting 6 months for a referral with my symptoms getting worse and worse. How long until I have permanent damage cause they can’t be bothered to pull their weight while waiting for a referral.
Going in with complains of pain and told just take pain killers rather than working out what’s wrong. Every doctor has given me a diagnosis so I trust none of the ones I’ve been given.
My favourite one is when they ask me what do you think it is? Or, how can we help you then? Mate, you’re the freaking doctor!!! I’m here for you to inform me!

Never have I ever witnessed such poor management and care.

To top it off leaving letters sprawled on the desk with patients info on it.
Absolutely shocking.
