I have only positive things to say about Mr Anandan and his team! I had surgery on both eyes, cataract / lens replacement (left) and ICL surgery (right) to level up my -10 vision after a retinal detachment. I felt safe and assured by Mr A, and his solution to my visual challenges was made considering all options to find the right solution. He cared about the result and what was best for me! The surgeries were explained well, the guy doing the anaesthetic was fabulous was very reassuring. Aftercare was great and the team were on hand 24/7 for any queries. Today, we were both over the moon with the results at my 1 week post op check. These procedures have changed my life, given me better vision than I imagined and just made day to day living a lot easier…… I am so grateful

I had Smile surgery three days ago and my recovery is going amazing. I've had no pain or discomfort during my recovery so far. I had to travel a fair distance to have my consultations with Mr Anandan and his team. But this didn't bother me as I knew I was in the best hands possible and when it comes to yours eyes you want the best. Already they have met my expectations and more. I was extremely nervous from the first consultation to the surgery day. Where on every encounter with Mr Anandan and his staff it was explained to me and i was reasured what the process entailed and its not as scary or as bad as you think and there was no pressure to go ahead. I saw the Optometrist Mrs Harinder Soor who was also amazing. She examined my eyes and did my eye test but her caring nature talked me through my worries and she calmed myself again and I will be thankful for her words and time. The scrubbing staff who were supporting Mr Anandan on the surgery day, were all welcoming, kind and happy. They saw me sat on the chair getting myself worked up, they again made me feel more relaxed and comfortable with their words, they genuinely understand how your feeling. Which made the world of difference. They sat all patients down together in a round corner, which i feel me and all the patients found really comforting. We were all in the same boat, nervous and didn't know what to expect. But we all chatted until it was our time to go to pre-op then surgery. But it gave you chance not to just sit there by yourself in the corridor worrying. The small group of us ended up having a few laughs breaking the ice. Which was really nice! In the surgery room there was background music playing which set up a relaxed environment in there so you weren't as tense and more relaxed. It was very quick and not what I expected. Would 100% recommend to anyone, as I was a nervous wreck, and now I think why.. Mr Anandan was just incredible with his skills and knowledge. He's not your serious unapproachable surgeon, you meet him from the start and hes very relaxed and welcoming. You feel confident with his skills and abilities right from the first consultation with him.

I recently had cataract surgery and both lenses replaced at the Nuffield hospital, Derby, which was carried out by Mr. Anandan and his team. The procedure was recommended to me by my brother, who was very pleased with his experience and outcome. I am happy to say that I was also very impressed with the whole experience and with all the members of Mr. Anandan's team. | felt no pain whatsoever during the whole procedure and will be sure to recommend him to my friends. I recently underwent cataract surgery performed by Mr Anandan at the Nuffield Hospital in Derby. The process from start to finish was faultless. Mr Anandan and his wider team were supremely professional, taking care to ensure I felt completely at ease before, during and after the procedure. My eyesight now is amazing. If you are considering cataract surgery I would highly recommend Mr Anandan.

I had presbyond eye surgery (both eyes at the same time). Dr Anandan and the team on the day were totally amazing!! Very clear, precise in explanations and very attentive. I was kept comfortable at all times and checked on repeatedly. A month on, my sight is shockingly very good! I still can’t get used to waking up and being able to see. Very little discomfort and no pain in the month of recovery. Thank you to the whole team for looking after me. You all rock!!

Amazing experience with SMILE surgery. Great explanation of the procedure and understanding of what's going to happen. The actual procedure itself was completely painless and was just a little strange. I left with blurry vision but able to see on leaving the hospital. The next day my vision improved quick and by lunch time I had better than 20:20 vision. For those who are nervous I would definitely having a consultation and talking it through. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Exceptional treatment, care and aftercare from the team. I had LASIK treatment to both eyes and the procedure was really quick but I still felt very cared for and safe. The team and Mr Anandan are fantastic at making sure you know what is happening at every step and taking care of you. The surgery is obviously nerve wracking and it is an odd experience when people are working on your eyes. At the end though I have 20/20 vision. Would highly recommend.

Had the smile lazer treatment on both eyes this week. Absolutely went amazing- cannot believe how smooth and quickly the procedure went. Mr Anandan was extremely informative and explained everything in full detail and expertise from the very first appointment until the very moment of having the surgery. Highly recommend excellent care from all of the staff at the Nuffield hospital worth every penny, to wake up the next day and to be able to see perfectly without no pain as well amazing!!
