My elderly mother had a consultation with Dr Ahmed ST2 today. I was there to support her. Dr Ahmed immediately put us both at ease with his smile and easy manner. Not having met my mother previously, he managed to break the ice and listen carefully to her concerns. He was totally respectful throughout, did a thorough assessment and came up with a satisfactory management plan. He was not at all phased by the fact I was also a GP and took into consideration my thoughts about my mother’s symptoms. I thank this doctor for his time today and would highly recommend him.

It takes an age to get through. And even then it's so difficult to understand the person that answers with crackly distorted voice due to the poor landline reception. Gone are the days when practices were person friendly and walk-in to make an appointment at the surgery reception.
The person's voice on the answerphone is hard to understand: an audio transcription professional voice should be employed for the recording so what is said can be understood and clear with good pacing. This group practice isn’t now patient orientated, it's become inaccessible for all but the most persistent callers. Administrative convenience before care. The staff are good; the modern admin not so much.

Receptionists on phone must be stretched so far, they either sound sad, mad or in a total rush to get rid of you. Unfortunately drs and nurses equally rushed and don't seem to be getting to the bottom of things for me even after a few years. I've had more answers off the internet, knowledgeable friends and family etc. I came to the drs once to discuss a neurological issue I've had for a long time the Dr googled it Infront of me. This is a common issue...I couldnt believe my eyes that he would need to Google and read up on it. Anyone else never heard of epilepsy? ‍♀️? Only gave 2 stars for the few good staff I feel sorry for, the rest, it's like they want you to leave and find a new drs surgery because their level of compassion and care for helping patients is zero.

As with all doctors surgeries has NHS issues. Receptionists can be hit or miss appointments can be difficult to arrange . Doctors/healthcare team all seem to go above and beyond for there patients

Tried to get an appointment for my 90 year old mum who han an ear infection. Couldn't get through, even after 4 attempts and over 1 hour holding in a queue. Then tried at home care team 3 times which just rang out for minutes on end with noone answering. If I can'tget through how do they expect a 90 year old deaf lady to? Absolute shambles of a practice. W

ABYSMAL, calling it a service is a misuse of the word, you will not get an appointment unless you have a computer and lots of patience. Even then it takes about 3 weeks to get fobbed off rather than treated.
Go to the vets it will be quicker and a more accurate assessment.

Can't complain about this surgery whatsoever, they have been nothing and kind and very helpful since I lost my partner a few week ago.
The poor receptionists are getting nothing but rude remarks from patients, it's hardly their fault for what's been happening since the Covid 19 virus appeared!!
