Consistently had really good experiences with this doctors - I find the nurses very friendly & always making me comfortable - the reception staff are super polite on the phone and very helpful. Of course it’s always worth calling at an off peak time so you don’t end up in a queue - I was caller no 1 when I rang this afternoon at 2:30pm. Credit to the staff here - quick replies on email, and super helpful in person!

I would like to express all my gratitude to a lady called “Karen” on reception.
Indeed, after finding a lump on my throat, I decided to go straight to the surgery to have it looked at.
Karen managed to secure an appointment with a nurse shortly afterwards.
Karen showed efficiency, professionalism and empathy and I would like to thank her for it.
I hope that you will be generous with your praises as she fully deserves it.
Ps: I will also mention the nurse who dealt with me, Elisha, who very kind and reassuring. Thank you.

Cannot see a doctor even when tests come back positive and need antibiotics! Also, a doctor reduced my long term medication prescribed by a neurologist, doctor didn’t even speak to me to discuss, I just found out when I collected my repeat prescription and I can’t make an appointment to discuss it. So now I’ve had to come off long term pain meds just like that! Disgusting service and receptionists just say no appointments.

A nurse responded to my friend that you need you need appointment for the toilets. While I was changing my newborn in the loo. I didn’t know. It made me feel rushed and upset as a mother. Especially since I got special needs.

I just phoned and actually got straight through. Mentioned I had chest pain and without letting me explain the symptoms, or that I'd had similar pain before so i may know what it is, she just cut me off and told me to phone 999 or 111. Just so unnecessarily rude. Let's hope this new government sorts out our broken NHS.

In the past when I've phoned I've been like 50 in the queue and actually getting an appointment to see a doctor is nigh on impossible. The "go to response" is to send you to Peterborough Hospital where you end up sitting waiting for hours to be seen. I along with many others are fed up with this. Why do we pay our taxes? Today, and previous encounters make me not want to phone and waste my time, when in fact that is not the right thing to do.

What an absolute disgrace this people are! Every single week they mess up or forget my repeat prescriptions even though I email them to them a week in advance so Boots can deliver them and every week I have to ring Boots to see if they've had my prescription and the answer is usually no so I spend the day going backwards & forwards with phone calls between the surgery & Boots which is extremely stressful and I have been in tears many times due their incompetence.
Today was the final straw for me as my prescriptions are now 2 days late but the receptionists never want to help you even though they're sitting 15 feet away from the dispensary, I explained that I had emailed (no reply), had to ring Boots and she said "It was sent at 11 this morning". I explained it wasn't and had been on the phone while Boots looked for it. She then said "I will give you the barcode numbers and you can ring Boots & give them to them". The barcodes are approx 20-25 digits long and I have 8 repeat medicines so after writing down the first 2 I broke down in tears and told her how ridiculous this was and she said "Okay I will text them to you" but she didn't!
I will absolutely be making an official complaint about this surgery and the totally useless people that work there!
PS. It's now Oct 2024 and I had my flu & Covid jabs at this surgery and whilst they got people in and out quickly it came at the expense of hygiene. Neither before OR after the jabs did they wipe over the injection site area with a swab. Disgusting and you would think somewhere that deals with the public's health would know better but they didn't give a damn. They just wanted you in and out so could get home.
PPS. Maybe someone could also teach the young, male receptionist some people skills because he's impatient to the point of rudeness if you need to speak to him for more than 10 seconds even though you've just been in the phone queue for over an hour!
I am not exaggerating when I say I absolutely hate, loathe and detest Lakeside and all its employees
