Lake View Café in Corby is the sort of spot that makes you wonder why you’d ever eat breakfast anywhere else. You get the best of both worlds – hearty café classics on your plate and a front row seat to the lake, complete with ducks and swans drifting by like extras in a David Attenborough documentary.

The food is no nonsense and plentiful. Bacon rolls that actually taste of bacon, chips that could fix a bad mood, cakes that will have you calculating whether a second slice is greedy or just sensible. And here’s the twist – they serve haggis. Proper haggis. Order it. You might think “I’ll stick to the full English,” but then you’ll see someone else’s plate and feel immediate food envy. The haggis is rich, savoury and comforting in that “this is exactly what I didn’t know I needed” sort of way.

The coffee is strong enough to power you through the day, the tea is poured by the gallon for traditionalists, and the staff are friendly in that easy-going way that makes everyone feel like a regular. We've had breakfast at Lake View Cafe twice now and both times food was delicious, well prepared and presented. Portions ware quite large and well priced. With a loads of outside seating surrounded by the lake and free parking.

Wonderful experience. Came for late lunch with my friend. I had the vegetarian all-day breakfast (sausages were lovely), and my friend had chicken, bacon, and mozzarella panini (very generous with the chips). Lovely friendly staff. We will definitely return sometime soon.

Food arrived quickly and could definitely tell it had been freshly cooked. Overall service was very quick, staff were very friendly and made sure that everything was okay. The view of the boating lake whilst eating is perfect and the place itself is very clean and tidy. Price is reasonable for the amount you get and how good it tastes. Will definitely be visiting again

First Visit - Fantastic Experience!
We had our first meal here and were really impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The place was very clean and had a nice, welcoming atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable for the quality we got. Overall, a great experience — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Food was shite, I'm not sure why (i get its only a cheese roll was supposed to be cheese salad, but thats the diet I'm on lol). Would it have been so hard as to grate some cheese also where was the salad?. Didn't take back as it took 10 minutes to turn up and I was due back at the diagnostic centre. Utter rubbish.
