On behalf of my stepdad -
I have now stayed twice at Knights Hill, most recently Christmas Eve to Boxing Day. We were very pleased that the room rate was not inflated for the Christmas period.
My mobility is poor and all the staff were very kind, efficient and helpful. The rooms I've had are spotless and spacious with all the usual facilities and overlook the garden. The location is perfect for my step daughter and her husband to ferry me about. Breakfast is self service but because of my mobility problems I was given waitress service by very kind and helpful staff which was very much appreciated. Thank you. I will be back.

Great room at a great price. I was surprised that had a Queen size bed. Service was great with good quality food and drink. Staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. A great stay at a quality 4 Star hotel.

Brilliant stay. Room was lovely with very comfy beds. Really nice large bathroom with bath & shower over & heated towel rail. Breakfast was good, buffet style with plenty of choice and hot. Don’t forget to ask for porridge or poached eggs as not advertised. Staff all very friendly & welcoming. My daughter said gym equipment was modern with cooling fans. I used the pool, it was a little cool but if you keep swimming it is fine. Nice steam room & sauna. Jacuzzi has seen better days but still ok. We had a treatment each and both thought it was great. O to be able to afford one every day! Good location if you have a car but no where to walk from hotel. Great pub on site with a very varied menu and food was really good, our only complaint was the mars bar sundae had no mars bar in it!

Didn’t have the option to choose another hotel as this was booked as part of a coach trip but I’m glad they chose this hotel! |The evening meal was fabulous they put us in a room with just our coach party and it was lovely we all got talking to each other and the food was delicious all delivered in a good timely manner- not rushed or too slow! The food was nice and tasty!|The rooms were comfortable and clean the beds were cosy and we all had a decent nights sleep! There was nothing to complain about in the hotel!

I stayed a couple of nights on a business trip, and found the hotel to be a real mix of good and less good. |On the upside, the staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble, the room was spacious, nicely furnished and clean, and the breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty. There was little or no road noise and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well.|That said, the evening meal was a little disappointing, as the sauce the fish came in seemed as if it had come out of a packet, and the syrup sponge had no syrup. Moreover, the heating system was quite mysterious, with a thermostat which did nothing, and radiators that could not be adjusted and were either stone cold or infernally hot.|All things told it wasn't a bad stay, and I'd use the hotel again, but I'd probably dine elsewhere.

Myself and 2 of my friends spent the afternoon at Knights Hill for afternoon tea, as once again it was one's birthday - Joanie.|Again excellent service, Aidan, was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, he made us feel special, especially Joanie. He did bring over some battery operated candles for Joanie, which both Jan and I did not get, but I think that was an oversight - so I will forgive him. We do intend coming again to see the place with Christmas decorations up. Aidan did say he will dress up as Santa, so two of us will ask to sit on his knee. Till next time - I cannot wait.

Rooms spacious and clean, self service breakfast had a good selection but required us to take it at 7am, much earlier than we wanted, because they had another coach party arriving. Evening meals were chaotic. Again they requested everyone attend at the same time and then there were not enough staff to serve efficiently. Hot plates were handed out but they were cold by the time the food arrived and on both evenings we had to ask for a second dish of vegetables on a table of seven. |We had to pre-order for the evening meals but the staff had no idea who had ordered what. ||Almost all of the serving staff were very young, nothing wrong with that, but they need guidance and supervision. Not once were we asked if everything was alright and few of the servers knew how to smile. Once it arrived the food was generally good except that the veggies were boiled to death.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea here with my friend as part of a spa morning experience. Have to give special mention to one lady (think her name was Julie) who served us all afternoon. Impeccable service, so friendly and attentive, she was a credit to the hotel. The food was great, unlimited fresh tea and even got to take a goody bag home. ❤️
