Kirkley Mill Health Centre

Warren Edwards , is the only practitioner that has been understanding , has listened, and i feel asked all the right questions with the last two consultations i have had with him. I have completely lost faith in rosedale, but Kirkly mill and warren Edwards have at least restored some of that faith and anxiety about visiting a practice. Brilliant service and advice from him.

My son was seen by a nurse practitioner today who was extremely thorough, polite and professional. She picked up on a problem that we have been trying to solve for the last 4 years and he was then seen by the on duty doctor. Finally had answers and a referral sent for further investigation. They both went out of their way to explain everything and we were very impressed.

EVENTUALLY - It took me over 21 minutes for them to answer the phone, 21 minutes of being third in the Q and then it went second in the Q and they answered it straight away? This surgery is so bad I looked up their complaints procedure on their website and guess what there is a heading only with no information on how to complain!

Tried booking in person, said they did and sent an email, I checked my emails and it wasn't there, this has happend many times, thank you so much, moving soon so I won't have to deal with kirkley mill.

Phone lines are ridiculous… I have physio at this doctor surgery and I had to wait 30 mins to even get through on the phone line! This is why I will never changed from Rosedale Surgery as they are the best around here. Kirkley mill is shocking ?

As usual amazing and understanding the ladies on the phone are always kind and go the extra mile to assure me everything is all good and I couldn't ask for a better doctors surgery they are brilliant thank you for all your hard work and kindness

Use this surgery at your peril. Given wrong time of appointment by the receptionist. They were supposed to send prescription to pharmacy at 12.30. At 4.45 after repeated complaints pharmacy still didn't have it. This was meant to be urgent medication for acute asthma. My wife unable to breathe. Young receptionist was totally incompetent.

Have been with this surgery for nearly 2 years. Have stuck by them as was really impressed by some of their staff, but it is a joke. We always have to wait for a ridiculous amount of time to be seen- even for a baby! We always have to wait a minimum 30-40 min to be seen when we finally get an appointment ! Always! And today for the first time was late 8 minutes due to a nappy accident and explained it just to be told we’ll need to reschedule. All that to be asked 3 questions for asthma review that we keep explaining that our son was never diagnosed , and keep asking for allergy and asthma tests. If it wasn’t for the fact that I stayed in there hours waiting every time would understand - but first time ever being late and for less than 10 min when I spend hours waiting in their waiting room it really feels like a joke! And especially when there are rarely more than 4-5 people waiting in there- but they are all waaaaiting and waaaiting. Are we not still paying for the salaries of everyone out of our taxes? As it really feels as we are treated as if we wouldn’t. NHS is killed from the inside as much as from the outside.
