I don't understand the hate towards this practice. It's the most efficient, most polite, and most accommodating GP I've ever been with! Registering is simple and straightforward, using easy online forms instead of lengthy phone calls, inconvenient face-to-face interactions, and tedious paper forms. After submitting, they promised they'd get back to me in 1-3 weeks, but I got an SMS telling me of my appointment within just days. I arrived early and was seen early. During the visit (which I wasn't sure if it was for the concern I initially registered--it was not), I was able to book other appointments for other concerns as well (grouped together to save making another trip!) My nurse, Bria was pleasant, accommodating, and gentle. I was in-and-out in less than maybe 15 minutes. So happy to be under the care of this Practice!

I am extremely disappointed with the level of care I received at Haxby Group Kingswood. As a 17-year-old, I expected to be listened to and treated with professionalism, but instead, my concerns were dismissed, and my experience left me feeling unheard and disrespected.

During my appointment, both my father and I were treated rudely by the asthma nurse, who constantly interrupted him and failed to acknowledge our concerns. When we requested to see a doctor, the receptionist somehow misinterpreted this as me needing help with using an inhaler—something completely unrelated to what we asked for.

I was also prescribed a powerful inhaler by the nurse without a proper investigation or a review from a doctor (face to face). As a result, I felt extremely unwell after using it. My health is not something to be taken lightly, and I find it unacceptable that such a decision was made without a face-to-face consultation with a doctor. I still have no clear answers on what happens next regarding further investigations into my condition.

This experience has made me lose trust in the care provided here. I hope the management takes patient concerns more seriously and ensures proper medical protocols are followed in the future.

Just joined the Haxby group and wasn't too pleased that I had to go to another centre for a blood test. However I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of service at their Kingswood practice. Super efficient and bang on time. Other GP practices please note it is possible

Can't get through over the phone. Had an urgent referral was told they can't book an appointment for 2-6 weeks and would need to call back Monday to try get a same day appointment.

Why do I pay national insurance contributions for services I can't access and are given to people who don't contribute at all?

Having being a part of this practice for the best part of 11 years, I haven’t really had to use them as much as I have in the past 6 months due to ongoing health issues, which are still unresolved, due to the absolute negligent service they provide.

Having seen numerous doctors who either don’t care, or don’t have much of an idea, to prescribe correct medication, follow up appointments or general care for patients in great need of service.

Today tipped the iceberg, having a physio appointment booked for over two months, turning up and then being told it’s a telephone appointment, which was never brought to my attention. How do you do physiotherapy over the phone?

I have now made the decision to go private, because the NHS and Haxby Group are clearly not able to provide the services needed.

Good riddance, and I suggest that everyone else should find somewhere else that can and will help you when you need it.

I have never known such a bad practice. They never return calls. They lie and say they sent txt when they never. I will be looking for another practice.

I have only rated this practice one star because it wouldn’t let me rate it zero. This practice is absolutely appalling. The level of care provided by most of the doctors here is horrendous. I have never encountered a GP practice displaying such blatant medical negligence, and after reading other reviews, it seems I am not alone in this experience.

I am appalled that this practice is still operating. Every patient under their care is at risk. The doctors do not listen, they do not care, and they discharge patients without any ongoing care plan, even when severe symptoms are present. This level of negligence is life-threatening.

If I could offer any advice to current or potential patients, it would be to avoid this practice at all costs. Your life is too valuable to place in their hands. Seek out a better healthcare provider for the sake of your health and well-being. Do not entrust your care, or that of your loved ones, to this practice.
