I have had a very good experience recently with the nurses in this practice. I had to see them several times a week to get a surgically induced wound examined and dressed. Each one of the three people I saw was patient, considerate and helpful during my visits. I thank all of them.

Dear Kingston park medical group

I called your surgery today to schedule an appointment and was placed on hold for 53 minutes. When I finally spoke to someone, I was informed that there were no available appointments and was advised to call back tomorrow or use the online portal, which I do not utilize.

I must express my disappointment with the service provided. As someone who runs a business myself, I can assure you that if my operations were managed in this manner, I would likely struggle to retain clients.

I am seriously considering changing practices or, frankly, not seeking care at all.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Mr Scott

Receptionist very abrupt when asking about covid 19 vaccinations for housebound parent. Cut me off, said government website incorrect, dial 119 (incorrect for covid vaccination! By the way) and then cut me off mid sentence with a bye!.

It’s almost impossible to get an appointment at this practice, I had an appointment booked for my six week post partum checkup but when I arrived on the day for my appointment it had been cancelled as the doctor wasn’t well, fair enough these things happen but they said they’d tried to contact me to let me know but I had nothing on my phone. I then asked to reschedule the appointment since it’s pretty important I have my post partum checkup done (bearing in mind I had a traumatic labour with a c-section) I thought they’d give me one for later in the week but nope I have to wait yet another two weeks and go to the Fawdon branch! At the same time as this I’m also trying to book my 8 week old in for his first set of jabs and that is also proving to be extremely difficult, I was told to ring back when he turns 8 weeks and I’m currently on hold waiting to speak to someone now, I will lose it with them if they make me wait two weeks for a newborn’s first jabs especially when whooping cough is on the rise! I’m not surprised there’s so many issues and infections are on the rise when GP surgeries are operating like this! I keep meaning to change doctors but I shouldn’t have to because this one is convenient! What’s the point of it being there if you can’t get an appointment and by the time you do finally manage to get one whatever ailment you had has disappeared!? They need to seriously buck their ideas up! The receptionists can also be very hit and miss, some are quite helpful but some are just plain rude and very unhelpful. I’ve also heard of numerous cases of them misdiagnosing people that I know personally and missing cases of cancer and by the time they’ve been caught the cancer has spread. They don’t mind leaving people in pain or with mental trauma either!

Called to make an appointment for any time but told to call back again tomorrow as all appointments were booked. Very disappointed after waiting in call queue for 1 hour.
Shocking.

My sympathies to anyone unfortunate enough to also have this place be the most convenient way to get seen. Reception staff, even when the building is mostly empty, don't want to bother with you. You'll be sent away with condescending instructions to ring them the next day - and a warning that the line is always busy ("don't bother"). Impossible to communicate priority unless you want to explain your symptoms to strangers in the waiting room as well.
The last time I saw a doctor there (for what turned out to be a cyst), he spent the first few minutes asking me what I thought my problem was, and at the end basically said "Yeah, you could get it excised. Or don't." - truly the pinnacle of medical training.

Most of the reception staff are incredibly rude and put minimal effort into their duties. It has been this way for literal decades and today was no different...I called up for my repeat prescription. Once it was ordered the receptionist didn't bother to confirm when it would be ready to collect. Instead I could literally hear her slamming the phone down...as if doing her bloody job was an inconvenience to her...

I've been on my meds long enough to know the general rule of thumb is that a prescription will be ready to collect two days after the order was placed. However it is one of the receptionists duties to ensure she always confirms this kind of information to the patient. The fact she would rather audibly slam the phone down rather than do her job properly shows she is terrible at her job.

Frankly the reception staff have always been an issue here and most of them need to be replaced.

The worst service ever. They never call back. Tried so many times to book appointments for my 10 month baby when she had tonsillitis and then chest infection and they refused. They refused to see a baby for God's sake!!!! Incredible rude and the worst gp experience I have ever had. Stay away!
