I wouldn’t leave any stars if I had the choice the staff are appalling. This doctors has really gone down as far as the receptionists are concerned. They are rude and seem to enjoy trying to embarrass people at the desk, I’ve seen people get really angry because of how they are treated by the reception staff. They don’t seem to have any decency and broadcast peoples private business in the surgery to other patients waiting for appointments, when asked to lower her voice one receptionist smiled and said this is me I’m loud. Not suitable for GPs practice at all. Wheeler street used to be a good caring practice and the staff used to be helpful and professional, bring back the old staff members

Its a shame that after 55 yrs i need to change my doctors due to been told by the receptonist that they do not have a doctor who deals with the meno-pause or a meno-pause clinic. If I need advice I should go with someone else. They are only gps. I do hope doctor Yu is seeing this. But I been told so. I am now looking for a surgry that can help me. Thanks for the care I had before this and goodbye

When ever you call there is no answer, all I need is to order a repeat prescription as it won't let me on the NHS app! Called 3 times!
Also phoned this morning and placed 10th in a queue just for a prescription. Last time this happened I had to just drive myself down there to come and get an appointment as they wouldn't answer, then I go in and find a receptionist just chilling out back ignoring all the calls. Shocking surgery

Absolutely appalling service. Karen the receptionist is zero help and couldn't wait to get rid of us. Completely rude over the phone, talking over us while we were trying to explain. So we decided to go into the surgery to explain, again she couldn't wait to get us out of there. She had the worst attitude. We are now running around trying to sort out a mistake that they originally made, leaving my grandad without vital medication. Her 'whatever' attitude stinks and she should not be facing any customers at all. Disgrace to the NHS

I work full time and waiting over 20 mins, time and time again to speak to soneone, is virtuallyimpossible... I still haven't gotten through!
Do I just turn up or will I be wasting my time - again?
I have been with the surgery for almost 30 years - Dr Yu is amazing 👏... all G.P. surgeries are the same these days and I like to think that the receptionist are doing their best.

Why is is so challenging to answer a phone, perhaps short staffed?

Went on line to renew all my meds and everything needed reviewing, so phoned the doctors just gone 12 noon and listened to a lengthy message part of which said prescriptions are only done between 10am and 12 noon and another time in the afternoon. Eventually spoke to a receptionist and she told me I was too late to order prescription because it was 12.08 and I would have to call back in the afternoon even though I explained that I had just tried on line and because my meds needed reviewing I phoned straight away. Surely there should be some flexibility in these times as not everyone can fit in calls between the set times that suit the surgery.
