Since my family has registered with King’s Cross Surgery, we had a great experience every time that we need. The app Dr.IQ is espetacular. The staff helpful, even some times some of them not have a very good day (happens to everyone). I needed some checkups, wanted to see some specialists… everything was great and fast since ever. They always respond quickly and try to give the best advice. I have friends that’s been suffering to have to basic on their GP, so, I’m very grateful so far.

The nurses and GPs at this practice are professional and helpful. However, one of the receptionist’s behavior is appalling. She is rude, dismissive, and seems to treat "other white" patients differently, which feels discriminatory and entirely inappropriate in an NHS setting.

The sign on the wall says NHS staff will not tolerate abuse, and I completely agree. But patients deserve the same respect and empathy in return. Being harsh and unkind to people already worried about their health is unacceptable. Remember, we pay taxes and contribute to society—that’s why we have access to a GP.

I sincerely hope this is addressed because the clinical team deserves better support from the front desk.

Jazmin was amazing! She was super kind and made me feel at ease. She’s great at drawing blood—it was quick and painless. Thanks for making the experience so easy, Jazmin!

Have to push hard to speak to an actual doctor. Otherwise, you see someone who googles your symptoms and reads a page off the NHS website out loud to you. This has happened every time I’ve been to the practice.

The most recent incident, I was told I was being referred to a dermatologist urgently on a cancer track. The doctor forgot to send the referral. I had to call and remind them that they wanted me seen within two weeks by their own assessment.

My partner was told by one of the screen readers that just didn’t know why they were experiencing their symptoms and couldn’t help. She called 111 who advised she go to A&E immediately.

Inexcusably incompetent.

Staff is very helpful in the surgery and I usually find appointments available on the day if I request early. Recently nurse Yasmeen went an extra mile to help me as she spoke to the doctor about an additional blood test I requested from the doctor that was not in my original form. I was happy with overall service, the doctor called me promptly after my results became available and I had follow up appointment organised the week after.

Getting an appointment or getting someone to return your call is close to impossible. They never call back when they say they are going to. You are always put in a queuing system on the phone and when they finally get to you are very unhelpful and quick to hang up. I can't remember the last time I saw the same GP twice in a row, which means having to explain everything all over again.
