Almost impossible to get an appointment and if you call them they bum you off to the MIU or UTC. Why? Secondly, since when do receptionists have the ability to decide what is best for a patient?

Update, tried to book am appointment on the new system at 6.30 in the morning and it tells me that nothing is available but go to a&e. For an existing condition? Where’s the logic?

Tried to get an appointment for over a year, Dr Pruden one of the partners suggested new computer system starting 6am last Thursday. Got up at 6am to do that and found no available for maximum length of time on system which is 16 weeks. Went back to surgery - Dr Pruden's suggestion when I called again - go to a different doctor. If a partner cares not then who will. No consideration for patients who have been with them for over 30 years. Disgusting treatment and pointless practice. I had to attend a hospital in desperation. 0 stars or minus due!

Just shocking! Worst practise. My sister coulnd ‘t get an appoinment for her newbour twins and for herslef as well. They can’t see you anytime you call. What is the purpose of your practise? We have to go to the A &E everytime someting is wrong.

Phoned NHS 111 just before 9am, GP called me back early afternoon with an appointment and I had antibiotics by 4.30. Also, I parked elsewhere but there was good provision for parking. I'll know next time. Perfect!

I have chronic heart disease, heart attack at 54yrs, with operation, and mini stroke 4yrs later. Told today I have high pressure by nurse at Judges Close, and to expect call from doctor. Had call from Crawley Down doctor who said i need an appointment ASAP at my doctor surgery for chest examination and referral to cardiologist. Called Judges Close at 4pm and told appt would be in 3wks or to call at 8.30am next day for appointment or go online to Mobility Mid Sussex Triage to book appointment!!!!! So my heart condition OBVIOUSLY NOT THAT urgent ....... and I have sleep problems ..... so can't call before 3pm!!!
AND GUESS WHAT .... DOCTOR NEVER REFERRED ME TO CARDIOLOGIST FOR CHEST EXAMINATION!!! NEVER HAD ONE SINCE HEART OPERATION!!! I get regular angina attacks, chest pains, arm pain, with claw fist, breathlessness, to extent of 99% passing out ... and my nitro spray doesn't really help, just gives me headaches, or throwing up bile! So, I'm just waiting for fatality really ... doctors do not care, as long as they get their NHS money..... c'est la vie...

If I could give this surgery a 0/5 I would. Since it has been taken over by modality it has been awful! You are told to ring at 08.30am as only urgent appointments available, only to be told no appointments available anyway! No doctors are in most of the time and when you do finally get to see a doctor, it's always someone who I don't feel is confident in their assessments and always has to "ask a colleague" it's a frustrating service and I wish I could move doctors but unfortunately this is not something I can do. You used to be able to contact them and book appts for a little further down the line to discuss non urgent problems, it's no wonder why people are suffering with conditions and problems. Its a shame that this place has gone as bad as it has. It used to be a great service.

Been with this surgery since moving to east Grinstead. Never had an issue with getting an appointment, the e consult form online is so helpful and saves clogging up the phone lines. A shout out to Dr Tina Lee who was so helpful and empathetic to me, I can’t thank her enough for how kind she was!

Still a dire service despite the many promises from Modality in recent months to 'improve their services'.
Called on the dot at 8:30 recently and was amazed to find I was just 2nd in the queue however once answered I gave details of my issue and was told that unfortunately there were no more appointments available because they had problems with doctors at the moment. If I was only the second person in the queue then this can only mean that either there were no doctors on duty that day or that if there was only one doctor available, then they can only handle one appointment per day
You cannot pre book appointments so I can only assume the appointments for whatever doctors are on duty each day are made up from those people calling at 8:30am that morning. Either way its such a poor and unexplainable service.
And I received the favourite reply, .....you can go to the Urgent Treatment Centre at Crawley hospital or phone 111 I gather from a recent social media forum that Crawley Urgent Treatment Centre have recently been told by Modality/Judges Close that they don't advise people to visit them. Well that's a lie as we've been given that advice twice in the last few weeks. I haven't managed to see a doctor at Judges Close in several years so wonder if there are actually any doctors there anymore?
Fortunately 111 did recognise the urgency of my latest call and the debilitating health results that could have resulted without quick treatment so my issue did thankfully get treated.
And on another matter I received a text advising me that I was eligible for a Flu Vaccination and gave me a link to book an appointment. Sadly it only gave one date as an option which I was away on and when I called the surgery I was told that was the only date available? We used to be proud to tell people about the amazing service we used to get at Judges Close Surgery but in recent years, and especially since Modality took over it has just gone from bad to worse to dire. So sad.
