My mother is there getting rehab, The wards seem clean and tidy the staff very nice BUT when you phone they are always in a hurry. If you visit you can never find anyone to ask about the patient, they always seem to have just 'come on shift',don't deal with that particular person, don't deal with the drugs, if they say they'll find the information, that's the last you hear. No feedback as to what care package is in place, progress etc, etc, I know they are busy but that's NO excuse! it's a really poor service. No wonder my mother thinks she'll never get out of there.

The Irvine Unit offered wonderful care and support to my elderly mother after a massive operation following a large undiagnosed cancerous tumour. My mother was very frail, bed bound and totally dependent when she was transferred to the IU and when she was discharged home she was mobile, independent and able to enjoy life again. The nursing and rehabilitation staff were very caring, patient and supportive and I cannot rate them too highly.

My grandmother has been held here for rehab for the last two weeks. It's incredibly hard to get hold of anyone on the phone, and when you do, staff are curt and always in a hurry. Her progress is very slow, there's very little information on how the rehab is going, given to either my grandmother, or our family. She complains of being ignored when she calls a nurse for help, and seems to be constantly medicated although no one seems to have any knowledge of what she's been given.

Currently in the Irvine unit, nurses and staff are very attentive. Only slight fault is the day to day, week to week work that is done. You are Imo not kept up to date with the care package your receiving and on going not kept in the loop

Patient care is okay, thankfully. However, good luck getting to see family there, which is currently by appointment only. Today I've made 15 attempts over seven hours to contact them without success.

I'm in here now, food leaves a lot to be desired. Tonight's meal was inedible. The attitude of some staff could be better. Rrehab assistance good so far. I'm hopeful for the future.
