Lovely staff from reception to nursing team dealt with us professionally and very friendly with it. Gold standard treatment of my son too. Thank you all you do an awesome job. Was most local centre from the campsite where we were staying for few days. Very reassuring knowing we had been triaged and didn’t need to visit a larger hospital for X-rays. They do offer a radiography service but only 2 days per week.

What a pleasant experience, yes, even though having to visit a hospital! My wife was diagnosed with a broken toe very quickly, very efficiently and with so much care. Julie and Sarah were the kindness nurses you could wish to meet. Friendly, empathetic and excellent at their job.

One person saw fit to review with a one star review and absolutely no explanation.
I don't know what their problem was, they may have had a bad experience, but how pathetic to damn this wonderful cottage hospital with their single experience.
I live in Ilfracombe, and our little cottage hospital is a godsend, we have used it as a family on many occasions for all sorts of things, and there are countless people alive today thanks directly to the best medical treatment and advice available without having to drive all the way to Barnstaple.

Will start with me getting lost,phoned Receptionist and she guided me there.Had appointment with Physio, Tracey, OMG walked in limping and in alot of pain,left crying Happy tears,no pain,no limp!Amazing.The Tyrrel is a blessing to Ilfracombe.

We have just returned from this lovely little hospital on a Sunday morning, after my wife slipped on the stairs of our holiday cottage by the harbour and cut her finger very badly at the Joint of her finger tip. Had this have been Stourbridge in the West Midlands, whilst we would have received excellent NHS treatment, because of the cost cutting , especially in densly populated areas, we would have been there for 5 hours+........But here in Ilfracombe my wife was in, treated brilliantly, and out again within 15 minutes......... Thank you so much to the great NHS staff.
