By far the best vet practise we have ever experienced. We are regulars with our dachshund and every appointment we are made to feel seen and valued. Never rushed, given the proper time and care to assess his individual needs and recommendations based on that and never generalised. Empathetic, caring, personable and so kind. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, even if we moved out the area.

My dog Skye went through his end of life care at this vets and was treated with so much love and respect. The people here also helped me a lot too, with their kindness and support and going the extra mile when I had questions and needed help. To the team, thank you so much. Took my hamster for a general health check up. The lady at the reception was very customer friendly. The vet who saw the hamster was kind and checked the hamster's health.
They didn't seem to be prepared and didn't have the weighing scale for small creatures and skipped weighing. I had a heart attack paying a consultation fee of sixty plus pounds for a hamster! Grossly overpriced!
I've been in various other vets in the past and I've barely ended up paying a third for a hamster's health check up.
I'm still in shock! It would be nice to be reasonable to customers and stop ripping them off! I'd avoid them unless you have some money that you want to get rid off!

Staff are all very knowledgeable and brilliant at what they do. Lots of time and attention are given to pets' needs on an individual basis, clients are heard out and valued, and every effort is made to give the best care with both the pet and owner in mind.

I need to write this review as in my opinion the management should consider who they employ. I left my 11 months old cat, totally healthy for neutering laparoscopic surgery. Blonde hair vet told me it’s a routine procedure and I can let my cat run at home. I asked if I should remove cats’ trees but she said it’s absolutely not necessary and I should leave them. When picking up my cat, I was told she didn’t have a surgery but just a thyroid gland checked and I have to come back in a week time for next blood tests… I was surprised but the receptionist run away and send a very nice lady who I spoke with in the morning while dropping my cat off. They said it was a mistake. Head nurse gave me totally different advice, to keep my cat calm and don’t allow her even to jump on my bed. However no painkillers or calming medication was given to me.
In 3 days time after health check my cat had to stay for life saving surgery, thankfully it was different vet on the shift that day.
The worst thing was when I arrived home, I discovered that my cat had her neck shaved with semicircular scar as probably the thyroid gland biopsy was done on her or something that I’m not aware of!!!!
This way the short and not harming procedure of laparoscopic surgery converted in devastating one. I have no words for this what I have discovered on my cat’s neck.
I feel very grateful to nice lady at the reception desk and very competent head nurce but vet who mistakenly treated my cat with unnecessary procedures and gave such an advice after surgery is a scandal.

I will not settle for less than best for my two cavapoo babies and Pentland Vets are best of the bests. I can’t thank them enough for the care they provide to my babies. Never met vets before who are so passionate, caring and knowledgeable and most importantly willing to go an extra mile to take the client’s experience to the next level. The reception at the clinic is well managed and there is always a pleasant and accommodating voice on the other end of the phone to help me through the frantically sick worried pet mother moments. I would highly recommend joining their health plan as it is the money well spend to put my mind at ease. My boys get regular health checks as well as help keep me on top of things by sending regular reminders when their meds or health or vaccinations are due. Thank you so so much everyone at Pentland for all the help and support you have provided over the years to my babies and making me one happy pet mother.

I just want to say that I am so grateful for everyone that works here, it's a fantastic experience dealing with everyone. They're never short of advice, care and brilliant customer service. I'm a first time dog owner with a very young puppy and they've not left me in the dark when I've needed it and I'm very grateful for that!
