I have been with Xiao for 6 months now and it has been transformative. I arrived in terrible pain relating to gynaecological and bowel issues that NHS consultants were struggling to find a resolution to after numerous scans and an urgent cancer referral. While I was offered excellent care via the NHS, sorting the issues out translated into living on pain killers and limited hormone replacement that presented with unpleasant side effects. Xiao patiently worked through all the issues, identifying and resolving them and I am now pain and medication free as a result. Menopause is a very trying time for plenty of women and Xiao has a solid in-depth knowledge and understanding of this difficult life stage. I continue to check in with a menopause nurse-practitioner for blood tests, but I am forever grateful to Xiao’s huge role, and am a much happier and healthier human being because of her.

I recently hurt my back and sciatica (another excruciating experience) and acupuncture has certainly helped speed up the healing process. I trust Xiao implicitly to assist with all my health issues and appreciate that Traditional Chinese Medicine can work very well alongside western medicine. It’s not either or. But Xiao’s holistic approach has certainly benefitted me. Highest recommendation from me!

Where do I start. In November 2024 I lost my horse my best friend and hero my IBS shot through the roof also lost my mum earlier in the year. Some days debilitated me. Didn't want to take tablets off the GP so started looking at alternatives. This lady listened to me heard my heart breaking and knew I was all over the place. Acupuncture and acupressure was started. It has now been one visit a week for three months and I feel 80% better in myself. 2 stone lighter and 2 dress sizes smaller. IBS practically gone unless I eat chocolate. I have one herbal tea a day. I can't stand tea but this one isn't so bad mixed with lemon. This lady really has pulled me up, given me hope, and helped me stop being a mess everyday. More GP should use this route. I had a chest infection January used the herbs and it was gone in 5 days fully. I will never look back only forward. Don't knock it till you try it.... As a close to this excellent professional and courteous service and help given to me when i needed it the most, with hand on my heart I can only say THANKYOU which will never be enough. I am currently six sessions in to my Accupuncture treatment.
When I first arrived and explained about different pain I was experiencing, the lady suggested acupuncture and some herbs
The lady was extremely informative on the body and very flexible on bookings at both shops east or West hull.

My first session the lady explained the procedure and guided me to a warm, quiet room with a bed were she started to insert the pins.
I was expecting abit of pain but found it was painless.
when she left the room I felt tingles up my body the lady explained after, that this is when meridian lines are unblocking.
I felt really calm and tired

After the second session I was extremely surprised too find my migraines had disappeared and so far haven't returned, she explained some things may take longer to unblock
At the moment we are working on my insomnia

Absolutely unbelievable.
I am sometimes fairly sceptical about alternative treatments for conditions. So when I arrived last week Friday, unable to stand properly or walk properly or sit properly, I felt desperate and was willing to try anything. I’m SO SO glad I tried this.
Two sessions later and I’m walking so much better, almost feel like myself again.
I rarely write reviews for anything, but the excruciating pain and the obvious change is worth commending. Thanks a ton to Dr Xiao💛
