My local surgery and has been for the last 25 years. Very rarely does one find a business or institution that doesn't let you down at least once in that sort of period. I can honestly say that the practice has been perfect in all of my dealings with them.
All of the staff have been professional and on a personal level absolutely lovely.
They almost make it worthwhile being ill.
Keep up the good work.

I have always found all the staff at Hove Medical Centre extremely helpful and courteous. The receptionists have been so kind and helpful to me and the medical team really professional. After years of rarely needing their help...now that I am in more need, it's been very reassuring to have their wonderful support.
Thank-you

I moved to this surgery from one I was happy with due to it being one of the only ones serving my postcode. I find them very frustrating to deal with. Impossible to do an online consultation as it’s always closed. Very long wait to get appointments for routine things such as HRT or smear tests and no flexibility for things like this or vaccinations as they are only available on certain days of the month it seems. Referrals not always sent and you only find out years later due to long waiting times with the nhs.

One of my children was unwell and the phone line said all appointments were taken but when I managed to see a dr days later she said to ignore the message and speak to reception. So perhaps they need to make it more clear that you can still get an appointment.

On a positive note the reception staff are friendly and all medical staff have been good when I’ve managed to see someone.

Very responsive and pro active.
Whether it is the reception team, nurses or GPS themselves.

Due to a house move, I moved surgeries about a year ago. I actually thought the poor service at my previous surgery was just the norm these days however having dealt with this surgery for a year, they have completely restored my faith in the NHS. Had about 3 doctors and numerous interactions with reception. Everyone is professional, caring and accommodating. Thank you for being human.

I had to phone up recently asking about a tetanus jab due to an injury I'd sustained and awareness that I hadn't had a booster for many years. I advised reception that I wasn't sure whether I should go to A&E, phone 111 or try my GP. They were very friendly and understanding, and found me a slot that afternoon. I was seen on time, given the tetanus jab and a course of antibiotics, a few instructions on how to help the wound heal - and two weeks later all is well. No infection and barely a scar. Thank you!

I'm so grateful to be a local resident near this gp practice! Everyone there is so friendly and patient and we've always been seen promptly, when my family has needed it. My toddler has also had great experiences there and the doctors ensure he's relaxed and comfortable from the start. The doctors there have been effective in helping us seek specialist support when it's been needed! These have been my personal experiences and I just wanted to share them as I've read other reviews that are more negative.

Let's bump this poor scoring up a bit. I've always had a good experience with the surgery from the reception team to the doctors and for that it's a 5 🌟 from me.
