The only time I've felt better after attending Houghton day unit is when I saw a psychologist there. I tried to train there to become a mental health nurse after achieving a psychology degree. I was bullied and pushed out. I have been very badly abused as a patient by so called cpns from 2012 2020.I have lodged complaints but they do not deal with them correctly. Pity that I've had to take so much abuse in my life and go for help as it's badly affected me just toget further abuse from people that supposed to be there to help you.

I went there for a psychological evaluation because of a specific symptom/condition. They asked me one question about it, went on to ask questions that were pretty much irrelevant and it somehow turned into an armature autism assessment around half way through. They told me they couldn't do anything because my symptoms aligned with autism (only referring to the questions they asked related to that and far from the reason I was even there) and I was already being assessed somewhere else. I know I'm autistic. That's not why I was referred. The two conditions aren't even related. I'm done with nhs mental health services.

On top of this, I was asked for my dead name. Its not my legal name. It wasn't at all needed. that was absolutely disgusting.

Staff are faultless and I'm great full for all the help especially after being in other establishments over the years, one of which at whitehaven was criticised by a judge as were the police in Cumbria.
Criminals in uniform is how they were described.

Waste of time got told nothing was wrong with me and I just had anger issues to later find out from a mental health team that cares that it was a personality disorder and possibly ADHD.
